BlondBoiJock's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
In undergrad, I had an older professor who was interested in me. I told him I was training to be a masseur, needed hours, and asked if he'd like me to practice on him. He of course loved every second of it, but oddly not as much as I did! There was something about making him relax all the tension from his body which totally kept me focused, honed in, and completely aware of exactly what his body needed. Since then, I've loved massage because every man is different with what their body needs. I love finding those spots, and giving them the attention they deserve!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely! I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Even if I won the lottery, I would still keep it up. I love it!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
100%. I maintain ultimate discretion of my clients, while listening to their bodies, and giving them the type of treatment that they need.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm kind of a practical joker. I find humor in most of life, and enjoy living with a smile :)
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Completely relaxed. Satisfied. And ready to book that next session! :)
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Anything outdoors. That's the point of living in South Florida! Hiking, boating, beach, pool, running.
Why did you become a Masseur?
A friend in undergrad was doing it, and said I may like it so I signed up for classes. I instantly found it so much fun, and got so much satisfaction out of making my clients feel their best.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get 5 massages from 5 different people. If you love them all, then you're good, a much better recipient. If you however find yourself saying you could do better than all 5, then become a masseur.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I listen to each client's body very acutely. And make sure I give it the attention it needs in those specific areas. Most clients aren't even aware of what areas need to be worked out.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
8 years. As long as I can while I'm still cute ;)
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I prefer to host. I have a very discreet, private location in East Fort Lauderdale. Easy in and out. When I travel to other cities I don’t mind coming to you!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes. And LOTS of practice ;)
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
In love with my hands :) As well as other parts of my body 😎
