BodyPositiveLMT's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I will always be a massage therapist. Regardless of whether I'm actively working in the field or not, it's a trade that stays with you. I will always want to connect and share experiences with you.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Do it! There is a major shortage of male bodyworkers in the world. We need your gifts, we need you to share more and to care more. Men need more love from other men, and this work is a beautiful way to do so.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Everyone knows me for being the guy that massages big guys. Although I definitely massage all body types, no one else has that distinction. My background in football and wrestling, my extensive knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology, combined with my training in Table Thai Massage make my sessions dynamic, connected, and memorable.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
"Success" is in the mind of the beholder. You get to define success for yourself:)
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy listening to podcasts and watching college football.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a professional stage actor, and I really enjoy hiking in the beautiful areas of the Coachella Valley.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Grounded, protected, and like a god damn rock star :)
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I'll be a massage therapist forever. As of November 2021 I've officially been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 5 1/2 years.
