Brasilianmassage's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was a volunteer in a Acupuncture Clinic in San Francisco, and part of my job was, after removing the needles of patients, to rub down the areas where the needles were placed. I always had a good response and feed back from the patients, saying I was gifted with the healing powers of touch. They liked my energy and how they felt afterwards. I was encouraged by many to take massage classes and start a new carrier.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, if I don't do at least a massage a day I feel like I am missing something, like helping others and making they feel good. It helps me to feel grounded and w a purpose.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Outdoors, beach, dogs, exercising, food and wine, the arts, reading, photography, architecture, travel, meeting new people and cultures.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
First of all you need to enjoy touching people regardless of how they look, race, size or age. Then you need to get trained in as many styles as you can. That will take some time, but experience will make you better and better. It's also important to have good communication and people skills as well as a strong business experience. Advertising and word of mouth will get you there.

I've been practicing massage therapy for 25 + years. I will keep doing as long as I have energy, strength and joy on what I do.

Relaxed, relieved, rejuvenated.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed, relieved, rejuvenated.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Practicing the art of massage, has been my joy for over 25 +years. This path has blessed me with the presence of gifted teachers around the world. One of my first massage teachers proposed the notion that the most important person is the one who is right in front of us at any given moment. This approach supports us to be acutely aware in the present moment and can guide us to access our greatest wisdom. When you and I work together, you are the most important person in the world.
The body has a natural ability to heal itself and this ability is exponential when supported by deep listening and kindness. I am humbly honored to be of service in this way.
Regular Massage appointments are a great thing to do for yourself and I also feel that finding a daily practice that you enjoy is essential for your over all wellbeing. It doesn't have to take to much time but consistent maintenance can reap heaps of benefits. Here are just a few modalities of massage that I offer: Thai Yoga, Shiatsu, Swedish, Hawaiian Lomilomi, Deep Tissue and sports massage.
