Chads_hands's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
I've always loved the feeling I get after receiving a massage. We feel at our best after a session and I in turn want to make others feel their best too. Human touch, but more importantly self care is essential to a healthy body and mind, and we all deserve that investment in ourselves.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
When a session is over I want clients to feel relaxed and rejuvenated #1, #2 I want them to feel like their needs were met (whether aches & pain relief or a more intimate touch), and #3 I want them to feel like we bonded and are comfortable to return for another session in the future.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Being a masseur has been my side business for a couple of years and while I enjoy the practice and the opportunity to meet some great humans, I do prioritize my bigger objective (my studies & business) when making my schedule and availability. I don't see myself continuing this forever. A change in priorities is inevitable, but until that day comes I'll be available.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time (what is that?.. I'm a Capricorn) a few things I enjoy are the outdoors, nature hikes, kayaking, reading, writing and filmmaking, theatre, music and dance. I love eating too; just not cooking so much, though I have been attempting it more during the lockdowns.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
If clients leave happy and/or return in the future, then yes I consider myself a successful Masseur. I put all my energy and attention into each session and I believe the reviews can speak for themselves. More than that though, it's the personal spoken words from clients that make me feel like I'm good at what I do.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am sooo afraid of spiders! In fact, if you want to see a grown man scream like a 6 year old girl then I'm that guy when I see a spider or most creepy-crawly insects. I pray that it never happens in a session but just so you know, you are forewarned lol. PS I like humour :)
