Cubology's Massage Interview
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love staying at home but it doesn’t seem to make me any money just hanging out, smoking weed, and playing video games. Lol just kidding. Really though I love to travel. I spend my time exploring America, making new friends, eating great food, skiing, and working on awesome people. I’m able to support myself and my family when I keep myself away from home. It’s semi lonely but being a healing and companion is a rewarding experience.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
They tell me how thankful they are for the experience and how they’ve had masseurs for years but can never find guys like me.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I sure would. Massage gives me the flexibility to travel and meet people in ways I never thought I would. It’s definitely an adventure
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
No, however I’m a fantastic Massuer. I try to just make enough money to support my basic needs and spend the rest of my time working on art. I love my life.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m here to make a difference. Even if it seems small. Good guy here
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first day at the clinic I worked on a paraplegic guy who was my same age. It was cathartic being able to Be of any service to him
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Total Relief, relaxation, happiness, and even to feel a little ***ier than they did before
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to make art of all kinds. I see fursuits. Make burning man outfits, make projection mapped sculptures and VJ effects on them, I love to make leather
Why did you become a Masseur?
I moved to Sf as a reiki healer with only minimum wage experience working in warehouses and life guarding/security. My mentor said I have a great touch but needed to find a way to market myself. I worked on becoming a Massuer and got my cmt license in 2013
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Be ready to understand people on a whole different level
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My vibes about who I am. Super chill mans kinda man, artist, healer, geek, outdoorsman, craftsmen, skiier, kinkster, I’m into just about everything
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been a Massuer for about 8 years and I think I’ll do it for the rest of my life in some capacity. I definitely will evolve to a point where my art sustains myself and then I just work on people to have fun and heal.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
No but a about 250 hours is required to know the trails of the human body. Also in a clinic setting where you get comprehensive reviewing on how the massage was
