DFWZenZone's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember my first client very well. Especially since I've been seeing him for years! Walked in nervous, gave me an alias name, and was very quiet. Took a call from his wife mid session to explain that he was on a lunch break from work. I was honored that he found comfort in coming to see me, and that was the beginning of a beautiful professional relationship for us.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would. This career allows me to connect with folks from all walks of life. I'm very chatty and social and would miss the connection I've made with folks over the years.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. For one reason, the repeat clientele that I have. Client satisfaction is my only measure of success.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I feel my clients would say that I am warm, welcoming, and immediately made them feel at ease the first time they booked with me.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
While I fully acknowledge that there are a lot of excellent masseurs out there, I pride myself in truly delivering a personal and customized experience for every client. Every session starts with a conversation, and ends with an experience.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Personally, I travel a lot. For my clients, I prefer a home based operation. This allows me to ensure all standards are met with every client. I pride myself in delivering a true spa like experience for every client. It's just not as easy to do that on the road.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
While I have had training, my personal opinion is that the best training comes from hands on experience. While I don't discount the impact of the larger training institutions, I definitely feel that the real life experience ultimately yields the best masseurs.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed, refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to return!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I initially began in 2012. While I've taken some time off over the last couple years, I am happily ready to return, rebuilding a new client base!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I tend to be a homebody. Lots of time around the home, home improvement projects, working around the yard, a Winter ****tail in the hot tub, a Summer margarita by the pool, and always making the most out of life with our four legged furry family!
