DerrickQuiro's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was my first day of massage school in 2002! I was nervous as I had to massage someone in front of my entire class. As for my first erotic massage, I was approached by a mature man who knew I was a therapist. I enjoyed myself just as much as he did and I've loved doing it since.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I actually lived in Asia (Thailand Vietnam Malaysia S Korea) for six years and did not practice there. I did miss it a lot!
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes, I live in Madrid Spain andI do think I'm quite successful
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I enjoy giving you the massage as much as you enjoy receiving it! 😜
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Completely de-stressed and floating. On cloud nine!
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love traveling around Europe with my best friend.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I love talking care of others!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
You either have it or you don't. If you feel like you're forcing it you probably are and your client will know it.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My sense of empathy, compassion, and the ability to feel for areas of the body that need attention. I'm very down to Earth, never in a hurry. If you book an hour and a half, you will get an hour and a half regardless of how the massage goes.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
20 years! No plans to give it up any time soon!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel non-stop! I left America 14 years ago and haven't stopped! I come too the USA once or twice a year to visit family.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes, and it's really obvious when someone isn't trained. You can tell immediately when the massage starts of the person knows what they are doing or not. The worst thing is to lay down and realize the person doesn't know what they're doing but then have to lay there for 1 hour/one hour and a half while they run oil all over the top layer of your skin.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
100% satisfied!
