Devon's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I have been giving massages for as long as I can remember. Sometimes for a teammate, a sibling, or a partner. It wasn't until a friend asked me to give him a massage that I received my first client. He really enjoyed the experience and I remember getting lost in exploring the body and feeling out all the areas that were tense. From that point on it's been something that I really like to share with others.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I wouldn't miss the sore wrists, to be honest :)
I would miss out on seeing the immediate satisfaction others get from being worked on. That's something that keeps me coming back.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I have a few people who consistently come back for repeat work. That to me says that I'm successfully doing my job!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I will make sure that you feel how you would expect to. If you come by to get help sore legs, I want you to leave feeling like they're loose and pliable again, if you come for an erotic experience, I want to make sure that you get a full release :)
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
In my personal life, I try to travel as much as possible. I aim to get at least one international trip a year, and one out of state trip each month.
For massage work, I'm happy to travel within Manhattan as well. (Or even as a personal masseur on extended trips)
