EdgeWitch's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
The world desperately needs healing right now, and people are starving for caring touch
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel often for my other job. Trying to stay a little closer to home, though I always love experiencing new places
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes and no. I do think that in order to be the best, most well-rounded masseur, it requires training and knowledge of anatomy and multiple techniques, but I think some people also have a strong intuitive knowledge of the body and how it moves.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Lighter, happier, a little closer to that part of themselves that is connected to Divinity.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Video games, reading, weightlifting, yoga
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
If you have the inclination for it, it absolutely is addictive. Making people feel good, making them feel relaxed and comfortable and healthy and cared about is a genuine thrill for me.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want people to leave my table feeling like the world stood still for an hour or two just for them. I want them to feel lighter, warmer, and more in touch with their bodies.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Not sure what to say that isn’t already in my profile. I’m an open book. I’ll gladly talk about my kinks, my hobbies, my background, my philosophies on life and the afterlife, my theories on the universe. I like digging deep and being intellectual and vulnerable.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
In one sense, yes. I consider myself successful in that I think I do a good job every time and I succeed in making people feel good. I don’t think I’m successful yet in having built a large client base or a strong business, but I’ll get there with time. My passion grows stronger every day.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Learn, practice, and focus! Always find new techniques to add to your repertoire, find people to practice those new techniques on and get feedback from them, and always be mentally and emotionally present when you’re working.
