FirmTouch's Massage Interview
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
More mobile, in less pain, and feeling happier in their body
Why did you become a Masseur?
I lost the use of my legs in 2014. When I taught myself to walk again I switched careers and decided to help others who might feel trapped in their bodies.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes. Continuing Education is not only recommended but required in NY state. If your massage therapist isn’t read up on current literature, you’ll see diminished returns on your investment toward self-care. Remember, if they don’t know what an olecranon is they shouldnt be using it on you
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Like they made the right choice in a sea of unskilled muscle
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My sports therapy experience treating injuries with rehabilitation
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I work out, design clothing, and Im helping my friend’s cannabis company as a distribution specialist
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
She was an old lady with a mouth like a trucker. She’d say some of the filthiest things while I worked on her and she never shut up. Rest her soul. wherever she is I hope she’s looking up at me feeling proud of the practitioner I've become
