FrenchFlava's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
We were super excited and stressed at the same time for our very first massage!
It went very well as the customer was very respectful and friendly.
After a few minutes, he said he felt safe and liked both the atmosphere (relaxing music, candles, incense...) and the movements provided by our four hands.
The three of us went through an excellent session together and the customer at the end was very satisfied. The happy ending for the three of us was the cherry on the cake 😉!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
We would definitely miss our masseur days!
And, yes, massaging is addictive when you like to care about people and have them relaxed.
Being a masseur does not only mean massaging people, it also means being empathetic and caring.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Our customers only can tell.
However, we are proud to say all our customers have been very satisfied so far.
Most of them were happy with our reactivity, the way we host them, the fact that we like to listen to them and discuss with them without glancing at the clock every five minutes.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
We want our customers to know we have been together for thirteen years so we are very complementary.
We would also like to specify our French culture makes us being very caring and not in a rush when massaging people. The connection between our hands and minds is crucial for the clients to feel safe, relaxed and fully enjoy the moment.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
We want the customer to feel relieved from their body pains and with a big smile on their face.
This is the best reward for us.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
We love to cook, mostly French and Italian dishes, and host friends of ours for dinner.
We also love to walk across the wonderful Floridian nature.
Reading books, watching movies, series and documentaries (history, tourism) are also part of our hobbies.
Why did you become a Masseur?
A friend of ours is a certified masseur and reflexologist in Paris.
One day, he asked us if we'd be okay with him massaging us. We said yes and had a blast.
We asked him to train us.
This is how it all started 😀.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
First, we would tell them not to do this for money.
Then, our advice is "enjoy the moment and be customer centric since your customer is your number 1 goal. The customer must leave relaxed, happy and positive".
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
One word: empathy
Being a good masseur is being empathetic and caring.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
We used to massage our friends and families.
We've been "professional masseurs" for a year.
And we've learned a lot about people and their expectations.
We'd love to continue this activity as long as people are happy with us massaging them.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
We love to travel.
We were lucky enough to visit all the major European capital cities, most of Italy and Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Mexico, The Bahamas, Saint LucÃa, Barbados and several US cities.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
We don't think an extensive training is necessary for a masseur to be successful.
However, practice, watching tutorials on a regular basis are very important.
Being a masseur is a philosophy, a lifestyle.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
We want them to be happy and relaxed.
When they tell us they want to schedule another session, it is very rewarding. It makes us feel happy and willing to constantly improve ourselves.
