HandsOfHypnos's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
A close friend of mine in college had tons of extra cash that he earned outside of work-study. I asked him what he did for cash, then introduced me to the benefits of massage therapy. From there, it was my destiny: manifested.
Initially, it was a quick buck for your typical struggling college sophomore, but soon I learned to value the skill set, & began to understand the many benefits I served to others and the establishment of relationships with my guests. Soon, I learned of the many perks that came with being a greater-quality serviceman.
I started taking guests providing amateur rubdowns - simple lotion & oil applications, but my first client was so pleased - I quickly became his regular favorite guy.
Since then, I have taught and groomed others in the ways of proper service, & I have grown that same "quick buck" into a solidified epitome of peace here at Hands Of Hypnos: Rejuvenation Bar & Body Studio.
Time flies when you're having fun doing what you love for a living.

Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
It's - quite indeed - an EXTREMELY enjoyable & enticing field of specialty. I couldn't imagine life without my lifestyle: the immaculate, multi-faceted levels of expertise that I've earned common-side a thorough knowledge base that I've acquired in study, in-training, in-studio & domestic travel, and internationally abroad.
The stature of service offered is AMAZING: a designated space - for relaxation & peace. Immaculate crests that RESTORE the body, REJUVENATE the mind, RELAX chakras channels, & REFRESH energy.
I offer my service to an elite avenue of onlookers & exchange meaningful, other-worldly conversations with a considerably diverse, premier group of guests such as mine; it's enchanting.
THIS PARTICULAR LINE OF SERVICE IS NOT SUITED FOR THE COMMON NARCISSIST, THE UNDISCIPLINED, THE UNEDUCATED OR THE WEAK-HEARTED.
more importantly - who would cater to my guests in my absence? I've built everlasting relationships with each & every guest - which is something that I don't take lightly. I - honestly & wholeheartedly - couldn't fathom ever doing any else other than what I do; which is help others. I wouldn't trade that impeccable gift for anything in the world. #HandsofHypnos
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
It just depends on how you would define "a successful masseur".
My first answer is yes; I do. I've learned many various styles of therapy, traveled doing what I love, trained others, and I've grown a quick hustle into something everlasting.
The humble side of myself says there is always more work to do; new techniques to conquer, lessons to be learned, other destinations to travel to, and friendly strangers who have yet to bear witness to my gifts. With that being said, let's get to work.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think training of some kind is essential. You can do more bad than good without the proper foundation.
It doesn't have to be totally formal, but like anything else, you do have to train and practice to achieve. I took an official certification course. However, I train my guys myself to save time and money, and for a more hands-on approach in how they handle an appointment.
I - personally - have over 10 years of practice; from mentors, from reading material, and studying many educational massage videos.
I do believe in the mantra: practice, practice, practice!
I always want to best my art and talent for perfection; the only way to do that is to keep learning.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel extensively: to major towns and cities - both domestic, & internationally.
The ability to travel is one of the great perks of this job. I really cherish the opportunity to explore other cities, and I try to play tourist at least a little bit everywhere I go.
(I think it would be a shame to do all this travel and only witness the inside of hotels!)
Why did you become a Masseur?
There is something addicting about being a great masseur... and it's having the ability to heal. I feel like a superhero with the power to heal by my side.
That. Is. Awesome!
When clients leave after finishing treatment feeling 10x better than when they arrived, you've done an excellent job. That is the main reason I do what I do.
If you've never had a quality massage, then what are you waiting for? It's definitely time to TREAT YOURSELF; shoot me a message to schedule your first session! Promise: you won't regret it. #SatisfactionGuaranteed
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
The first rule of thumb; I believe everyone deserves respect, fair opportunity, & to be treated with kindness and compassion.
I love this job; to spread a little bit of tenderness and to make people feel whole again - physically and emotionally.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I hate to see you off... & I love it when you come.
My hope is all guests depart here completely relieved, thoroughly recharged, w/ a more-complete reassurance of self. I'm blessed w/ high levels of intuition; most have no clues to their own causes of discomfort or won't notice troubles until sensitive triggers/tension points are met. Guests should be GENUINELY cared for - not as if "taken" or as if only a client - patronizing services. Our time is gifted, & I'm sincerely privileged to share it w/ you. I make valorous efforts to fill all w/ compassion, exuberance & optimism so that daily tasks/routines flow w/ ease.
I encourage enlightenment & completion, so I have faith that - following all visits - guests will leave feeling reconnected to better senses of self; collectively in body mind & spirit. No longer w/ aches, or high levels of stress & tension.
Guests should leave in high praise:
"Wow, now THAT's an EXPERIENCE!"-eager to secure the next few sessions.
Here- we open the doors to an elite epicenter of relief, relaxation, restoration, refreshment, rejuvenation & renewal to the masses so that all are welcome in peace to witness the ultimate bliss: uninhibited & unhinged
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to participate in the many beauties that life has to offer, so aside from being a connoisseur of bodywork & master-level masseur- I love art/media/photography/videography; let's ride into the sunset of a foreign land - gas tank filled & phones/cameras charged - creating everlasting moments w/ each other, friends, & loved ones. Let's cherish these moments in the many years to come.
Other hobbies include:
- ***/MORE *** & studying porn for positions to try (no, seriously)
- learning languages (to effectively communicate is KEY)
- all sports (no preference)
- movies (fiction, horror, fantasy, comedy, nonfiction, thriller, romance)
- reading: poetry/fiction/novels
- writing & performing: poetry/short stories/scripts
- working out/staying fit
- watersports (fishing|boating|parasailing|surfing|jet-skis|snorkeling)
- cooking (Fish & Seafood|Latin|BBQ|Cajun/Creole|Italian|Soul)
- traveling (old|new|favorite destinations)
- shopping (more for others/seldomly for myself)
- fine dining|private catering
The way to my heart is cohesive: bomb food, great ***, & time together.
* Couth|Etiquette|Manners|Decorum is VITAL! Good times never warrant being an obnoxiously-rude *** to others.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Common housekeeping guidelines to live by; not just as a masseur:
- Treat others as you prefer to be treated.
- Speak clearly w/ clarity & purpose; no one likes aimless chatter.
- You will process information better in clean & tidy environments.
- Study & practice; apply your gift(s) to perfection, then keep going.
- Karma's cycle is unavoidably 360°. Spread positive energy to receive favor & blessings unbound.
- Always be prepared to be of service to others.
- It's fine to be nervous or anxious; take time to breathe, & reassure yourself of greatness.
- It is never acceptable to question "what-if" in every situation; to live in fear or doubt. Be brave; conquer those trials- no matter how inevitable they may tend to seem.
- Bad attitudes don't belong in the workplace.
- A simple "-please" & "-thank you" go a long way.
- You always give respect to receive it.
- To give up|quit|succumb to circumstances when things are unfamiliar|unfathomable is NOT a valid option. Take a recess, gather yourself, revisit the blueprint, & try again. That's a sure method of success when aiming to reach goals. Most times, malfunctions are common errors we tend to overlook in pursuit of goals.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'm sure there are plenty of great masseurs out there.
I think what heartily distinguishes me from others is: my quality of service, & my willingness to listen to guests' individual needs, tailoring the session to be properly suited & custom-fit for a delightful experience.
Many may orate this same level of dedication - not all practice what they preach.
I step furthermore into guest satisfaction & service.
It's just as - if not, more - vital that guests have a voice in designing services that fit the overall experience that they desire. They are knowledgeable - better than anyone - in what TRULY is soothing to them; ie. massage style, music selection, oil option, etc. These choices are typically offered leading up to the session; so upon arrival, my focus is on my guest.
I feel as though my genuine care, concern, & compassion for my guests is evident in each interaction of service, & I often receive new guests from referrals.
This is not for the money: I love helping others thrive - with an immense passion. If, one day - I were to wake up feeling like what I do in my studio is "just a job", it means passion was lost, & I no longer can appreciate the space/service I provide
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been hosting for more than 10 years. I hope to continue for many years to come. This would be the "dream career" - if there were such a thing.
I oblige guests in an epicenter of peace as we savvy into bliss: unhinged.
I sincerely enjoy meeting the plethora of eclectically diverse & eccentric, courteous, & enthusiastically well-mannered guests that stop in. It is a very rewarding glow that is shown when you know that you are doing a great job. Offering benefactors that are concrete; amazing physical, mental, & emotional health effects that my work has had on so many people.
My services are very gratifying, and I love what I do. I believe in my technique, and I've developed PREMIER, PREMIUM, & PLATINUM CLUB MEMBERSHIPS. With that said, I'm always looking to improve my standard of service. Every day: I aim to fine-tune my craft by updating techniques & methodology, demonstration & experimentation, & most importantly - through my guest's feedback - I can continue to establish the foundation for steel-like bonds, friendships that last, amazing experiences & rewarding camaraderie with the studio doors ajar to an epicenter of peace for new guests & members alike...
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
|RELAXED|REFRESHED|REPLENISHED|REJUVENATED| - is the mission here at
🪬|Hands Of Hypnos: Rejuvenation Bar & Body Studio.
