HenryBKK's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Definitely. Massage is communication. I enter into an intense exchange with the client and his reactions, even the smallest. This communication is very giving. And massage is a mirror: The client's relief and relaxation mirror back on me. Also I have learnt to control my movements during massage, so that I remain souple and flexible all the time. During and after giving massage, I feel great.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Already very early, I began to give massagage "free style", believing in the miracle of touch, and soon experienced the relief and gratefulness of those who received it.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Shall I brag? I experience deeply relaxed and refreshed clients and a nice connection during and after the massage sessions. People come back to me. I consider that as success ...
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Everything I do, I search to do it with joy and a loving heart.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Light and happy.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Singing, gardening, travelling.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because I was and I am fascinated by the changing power of touch.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Get a lot of massage, experience yourself the differences between styles and qualities, exercise your empathy.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Hundreds of times that I got massage myself. I just know how it feels.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I practice since many years and am convinced it will always be a part of my journey.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I am very curious and eager to make new experiences. I love travelling and search places and ways of life that are unknown to me.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Massage is a training in itself. But sure, working out and above all stretching, yoga and everything that keeps you flexible is an important preparation.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Light and happy. Wanting more :-)
