Intuitive's Massage Interview
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I like my clients to feel relaxed, centered, more present in their body, and free of aches and pains.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I've always enjoyed massaging people, my Dad was a physical therapist so I was introduced to the muscles and body structures at a young age. I've been a firm believer of doing something you love for work, so it was a natural progression for me.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I'm a geek, I read comic books, watch movies, play video games, and read novels.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I'm able to provide a good mixture of sensual and therapeutic massage without sacrificing one for the other. I'm also interested in my clients outside of the massage session, and like to give them tools so they can continue their healing off my table.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've done massage freelance for years, within the past year I've become certified and started working professionally. I'd like to continue it for as long as I'm working.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think training allows for a therapist to be able to quickly identify what a client needs and therefore makes their session more beneficial in the time they have.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I feel I'm able to provide a unique and profound experience for many of my clients, so yes.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Relaxed, centered, free of aches and pains, and like they've received a mini vacation from their lives.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
Traveling is fun but there's no place like home for me.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Definitely, I enjoy my clients, meeting new people, and feeling the connection one feels when giving a massage,
