JackMassage's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Yes. I had a client who really needed to be relieved of stress. I could see the frustration in him. I enjoyed using my hands, locating stress points all over his body, and relieving him of all physical stress. He requests me all the time now. He never knew he was my first client.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes. Trained on Swedish, Reflexology, Hot/Cold Stones, Eastern European, using hands to "listen to" a client's body, feel their energy, etc.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Totally rejuvenated and relieved of stress.
Why did you become a Masseur?
It's something I naturally did well and gravitated towards, my entire life.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Listen to the client's body with your hands. Know how to locate stressful areas. Always be open to learning more.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
That when they visit me, it's all about what the client needs.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Work out, Running, Lift Weights, Healthy Lifestyle.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I listen to the client's body with my hands. I can adapt to all different types of needs. Also friendly, and engaging/welcoming with all my clients :)
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely :)
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Been doing it my entire life. Actually started doing it professionally in the past 8 years.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling in general, but I have a nice quiet brand new massage table in my apartment. Much more comfortable for the guest.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I feel extensive experience is. You need to understand the entire body, to know how everything works.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
That they got more than what they needed.
