JaxDTX's Massage Interview
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
As much as I love city life, I equally love escaping into the mountains away from everyone. I hope a massage from me allows you to escape, even just for an hour😁
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Not only fully relaxed, but also I want my clients to leave with a sense of healing. Massages have such a great impact on the body, and I want to promote healing within the body and to release stress and tension from the body.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I truly love being outside; whether it is studying or reading at a park, going for a walk or enjoying a drink on the patio. Love spending time with friends and loved ones! Experimenting in the kitchen is also a great stress reliever for me, usually followed by a gym session😁 Love sitting on the couch watching cheesy rom-coms, dramas, or fiction movies/shows.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel! I try to go on at least 4 trips a year. Some nights I love to sit home and wrap up in a blanket, but I definitely prefer to be out and about. I love all locations, other big cities, the beach, or the mountains!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been working in massage therapeutics for approximately 3 years while training to be a physical therapist. Manual therapy plays an important role in healing the body, not only after an injury but also from the stress and tension of daily life in today’s world. I plan to continue using massage therapy for as long as I practice physical therapy!
Why did you become a Masseur?
While training to become a physical therapist, I noticed how important manual therapy is for the body. I hope to be able to provide a relaxing experience for my clients to promote healing within the body!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I believe some form of training is necessary. It is important for someone who is working on the body to be able to provide safe and healing techniques, plus training allows advanced work that you may not get otherwise.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I would say yes, I have taken a hiatus from being a masseur while on a clinical rotation before and I definitely missed it.
