Jonny_Chillano's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I love taking people on a relaxing journey.
Forget about everything that may concern you and just be in the moment.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was pretty excited. I had just gotten started, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of requests and the very first client was a super nice guy. The perfect start.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I consider myself successful, and blessed, whenever I manage to bring people joy. Massage is the perfect outlet for this. I like touching and making people feel good. I achieve that regularly, so yes, I consider myself as a "successful Masseur"
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm an easy going guy and here to make you feel good. There is no reason, to feel anxious, when it comes to meeting me. I'll welcome you with open arms and an open mind.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed, content, and ready to take on any challenge that life may through at them. Sometimes, a little reset, is all it takes to feel rejuvenated.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy traveling, working out, meeting friends, going on walks while listening to audio books, watching movies and TV shows, having nice conversations, food,
and being intimate with others.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I met a masseur in DC and I was very impressed by his lifestyle and the freedom and independence that progression has to offer, that I chose to become a Masseur.
I enjoy making people feel good, so it turned out to be a natural progression for me.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Don't be overwhelmed, by all the techniques there are to be learned. You'll get better every day! Also, never forget to take care of yourself! It's important, so you don't burn out.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I haven't met all the other masseurs so that is a bit tricky. Clients have told me, that they love my personality and that I'm really good at making them feel comfortable. And yes, they loved my massages, too.
Especially, compared to masseurs that are only going through the motions, it comes down to the level of intimacy. I'll do my utmost to make it an amazing experience for you!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have had my first serious training in 2015 and I realized that it is my calling.
I hope that I still have several decades ahead of me. I love what I do and I appreciate, the amazing and diverse people that I meet.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
That one is tricky these days. But I'm a gypsy at heart and while I love to have residencies from time to time, I will end up with the urge to explore, sooner than later.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Empathy, and knowing how to touch others are the most important skills. It's like a dancer that goes to a ballet school. You have to bring the talent with you to succeed.
That being said, yes, training and experience will only make you an even better masseur.
But without the basic talent, even the most extensive training will only make you mediocre at best.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Glorious ; -)
I want them to feel fantastic, and for them to realize that they made the right choice picking me. And, that they gain some awareness of the importance of self-care!
We all need to recharge every now and then!
