KyleMichaels's Massage Interview
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I’d agree with some people. Even if I weren’t using Rent Masseur I don’t think until I’m old and unable to I’ll ever not be giving massage.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Every time I help a client to feel better and see them leave visibly in better condition physically and mentally I consider myself successful.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I grew up in the Islands and miss being able to find secluded areas to take naked hikes or suntan nude! If anyone knows places near Los Angeles I lease share them!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel appreciated. I strive to focus on connecting to the body and showing it the attention and intimacy we all deserve.
My end goal for every massage is that my clients feel lighter, happier, and cared for.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’ve always loved art and design and am currently teaching myself how to sew so I can bring my ideas to life.
Im an avid reader of nonfiction series and will accept recommendations anytime!
Outside of that I like working out, being in the sun and hanging out with friends and family.
Why did you become a Masseur?
My mom was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s and had a rough time during the pandemic. A professionally trained Chiropractor and healer friend of ours used to come over twice a week for about a year and train my sister and I so we could help our mom. The joy of bringing relief from physical pain to others is one of the best feelings and I’m happy to be able to continue that here in LA.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Take the time to connect to your clients body and listen to what it wants.
If your focus is making them feel good you’ll always have happy customers!
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I can’t necessarily claim a monopoly on these qualities but I’m certainly very aware of how bodies work and will go the whole 9 yards to make sure my clients feel comfortable, appreciated, and enjoy their time fully!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I’ve been working off and on as a masseur for about 4 years now and will most likely continue until who knows when!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I would love to travel but unfortunately have a hard time finding the time to do so!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Training is definitely a must! But if you’re able to training on the job is the best way to go in my opinion.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Satisfied, satiated, and thinking about their next massage!
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was my mom. I learned massage from our family friend who taught me so I could help take care of her and relieve pain from her condition. It’s probably the most rewarding work I’ve done so far and I love being able to make bodies feel good! It only took one lesson to know I wanted to practice massage.
