Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
The first time was quite the experience, I was a little nervous at first but I found it easy to connect with the client once the massage begin. We talked about so much in the time that we spent together, and I could tell the conversation was melting away all the tension along with the deep tissue massage. I still remember the look on the client’s face once the session was over, he became one of my regulars and has been a pleasure to work with every since.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Providing a service that makes people feel good is addicting, especially knowing the client is completely satisfied once done.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I consider myself to be a success because of the outcome of the service provided, and the experience expressed afterwards by the client. Makes it all that much more rewarding knowing the next day they were able to feel like a new person.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Well I’m originally from Texas I grew up in a very small town, previously lived in Washington D.C. for a few years. I’m also a certified personal trainer, I’ve been actively working with clients and aiding them in getting in shape for the last two years. I specialize in both strength abs HITT training.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
When someone has completed a session with me I would like them to feel like a new person the next day. Also that what ever tension or muscle aches they had before coming are properly treated with the pressure applied to the trouble areas.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Most of my spare time is spent working on ways to improve technique in serving clients. Also I enjoy drawing and painting when inspiration comes.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I become a masseur because of the people, and the connection build while providing the service. I simply enjoy making others feel good.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I would advise anyone who wanted to become a masseur to listen, and pay attention to the clients body it will guide through the process of making sure the client is satisfied.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want the client to be happy, relaxed and comfortable with the outcome of the session. Knowing that everything they expected from the session was provided.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I would like to continue for as long as I can, I enjoy the feeling of knowing I’ve provide a service that helps relieve both pain and stress.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I’m more a home boy, I don’t travel often, but when I do travel it’s always somewhere with nice weather and a beach.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think education is important with any service provided to ensure it’s done correctly.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I’m very passionate about what I do, and I want to know that the client is satisfied before they leave. Going the extra mile to make sure expectations are met is always the goal.
