LoganPDX's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client ever sought me out for sciatica treatment. I had a really good time with them and we talked for a long time while I was giving them their massage. By the end of the treatment, they were very relaxed and they were not experiencing their sciatica symptoms. We both left feeling very relaxed and I still enjoy the same fulfilling experience when I know that someone is leaving my table feeling relaxed and relieved.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Being a masseur is totally amazing. I really enjoy the hands on healing that happens when someone is on my table, and I love seeing their stress melt away under my fingers with each stroke.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I am a circus performer, I've traveled all over the country doing acrobatics and fire dancing on all kinds of stages and parades.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have always been very intuitive with my hands. Massage came naturally to me and when I received training my teachers thought I was already practicing massage professionally. Like a fish to water, as they say.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been doing massage for a long time, almost 10 years, with the last 5 years of that being specifically East Asian Massage.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel around Oregon a lot during the warmer months, and generally plan 3 or 4 longer trips every year. During the winter I tend to be at home more often than not.
