MassageGuyOKC's Massage Interview
Why did you become a Masseur?
I enjoy making others feel amazing. I've been a personal trainer for over 20 years and massage works well with my profession.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Everyone has their own style. I'm easy going and enjoy getting to know my clients and cater each session to their therapeutic needs.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Most of the time my schedule stays full with repeat clients.. I offer a quiet, safe, and discreet location.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I cannot see myself not offering massage services. I enjoy my clients and really look forward seeing my regulars.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been offering massage for over 14 years and hope to offer my services all the way into retirement.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Enjoy what you do. Do it to make others feel good. Remember the session is about your client and not your pleasure.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
With over 7000 hours of hands on experience I'd say my repeat clients satisfaction speaks for itself.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Relaxed, happy, and have a huge smile on their face.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do remember my very first client. I was a nervous wreck hadn't developed my style and technique. He was very accommodating and a great first client. He remained a client of mine for many years until he passed. Still miss his chipper attitude.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I actually enjoy my career very much so don't travel much other than when I'm on your to other cities to massage those that can't make it to OKC.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
No, I believe it's more about being intuitive and listening to your clients verbal and non-verbal cues. Listening to your clients body language is nothing they can teach you in school.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a very laid back guy that enjoys making others happy. I have been married for 34+ years and live a very simple life. I offer massage to help other feel their best. Not here to date or anytime that I am serious about giving an awesome massage.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I work 7 days a week to keep up with my client schedule so hobbies I don't really have time for.
