What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

Trade massages with others in your field, see what other people are doing. Pay attention to what feels good, what you'd do differently, what you'd do the same. Show respect to others, it's so easy to do yet it's so lost on so many. Be true to your word, if you set a time, be prompt. Be compassionate, don't make harsh judgements and have an open mind. And treat others the way you would want to be treated, regardless of how you are treated. It's all about peace and love

Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

Even as I am going back to school for my B.B.A. I believe that when I continue on to a new career path, I will always have a room dedicated for my studio for clients I have met over the years. It will be something I always do on the side. I enjoy bringing others relief, either therapeutic or personal, I just enjoy making a difference in someone's day/week/year/life.

Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

My theory is this, before there was schooling for massage there was still massage therapist. I think you have to have the touch. I've always known I had that touch as I'd constantly have the other servers I worked with following me around trying to get me to rub their shoulders back when I was in the restaurant industry
