MasseurAms's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Working as a personal trainer I met so many people with complications due to stress at work or other trigger-points due training. That gave me the idea that I also wanted to approach the body in another way.
When I did my first massage course (Thai Deep-Tissue) I found out the magic touch of hands on the body can give so much relaxation and cure to the body. That's when my passion and interest for massage grew.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
When clients drift away and tell me the leave in a sort of trance, I consider that I do well as a masseur
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
When I've the possibility I'd love to travel. I like to visit other continents and meet other cultures.
When the weather allows it I like to go out the house at-least once a day, get some fresh air...by bike or for a walk
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Yes to get a good flow I think one should massage a lot. And I massaged other masseurs and vice versa. And to obtain new techniques do various courses. I did 2 courses. And will do another next year
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Just start a course at a recommended massage school.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
That they want come back for more.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Satisfied and totally relaxed... and thinking of a next session soon.
