I have had several clients make there way from Naples and the surrounding area over to me. They tell me that they really don’t have a lot of masseurs in their area, or perhaps they just like to mix it up. Regardless. This got me to thinking... and planning... If I were to stay a weekend in Naples in a hotel, and bring my table and set up, would I have bookings? I’d like to find out! I’m leaning towards the weekend of Feb 19-21. Reach out an book and I’ll lock it in. Fun! New area for me!

... I was getting a massage at a lovely resort in Phuket and was shocked that they DIDN’T play eastern sounds, rather, it was a wonderfully soothing selection of Classical European music.
I thought, how ironic is it that in the West we play Eastern sounds while in the East they choose a Western soundtrack. That’s when I really decided to change it up, but the next problem was finding the right mix, as not all classical music is soothing... I’m sure it might be quite distracting to be listening to the 1812 Overture while trying to breathe, well, I guess it might be fun in some aspects, but I digress. How do I find the right mix of soothing 60 or 90 minutes. For years I always tended to go right back to the meditation tracks while searching... Until this year! Finding a free streaming service that categorizes music down to the tone/feel was a game-changer. So, finding “Classical for Sleep” or “Classical for Meditation” became my new set list.
All of that being said, I find that music is very personal. It should be listed in the descriptions as it really does provide the setting. The next time you book, feel free to request! East, West, Classical, Ocean waves or even Holiday!

The other week I received a really lovely compliment on the choice of music I use during my sessions. So I thought I would share my thoughts and experiences of how music can make all of the difference.
I have been practicing massage for over 15 years and through the years, the soundtrack has certainly changed. When I first began, I thought it would be appropriate to use very eastern sounding music. With Japanese woodwind instruments or Indian sitars. It just seemed like this was the common trend or expected in this setting. When traveling, I often would use the ‘soundscapes’ channel on TV in the background while in other’s homes (this was before we had smart phones that would play quality sound). I stayed on this track for a while but what I found difficult was finding a solid 60 min or 90 min track that was consistent and steady throughout the session. But, through experimenting, I found very good options. But, the music/sounds overall never really fully satisfied what I was looking for, I felt it just wasn’t complimenting the session or represented my energy.
Then, in 2011 while in Thailand getting a massage, it occurred to me what wasn’t sitting right with me...

That drop down then sets a timer that counts down and when it’s finished it goes back to not saying anything.
So if I have a day open with some flexibility, I often click the 6hr option. It’s really a window. A lot of times if I set it for 6hr and book something towards the end, I don’t go back in and change that to “Not available”. I try not to be misleading, but sometimes, towards the end of the availability, I’m spent. Also, if I’ve booked something and go back in and DO set it to “Not available” I don’t want to confuse the client that I just booked, see the confusion?

Bottom line, yes it’s helpful to see who is “available” now, but, please don’t take that as gospel. I try to use that tool, but, please, always reach out. Book ahead when possible. And most of all, be patient. Using these sites/apps can get clunky. I try to be accommodating when I can and again, my clients know that I’m often AVAILABLE even if I don’t click that little icon.

To begin, I am never bothered or upset when someone reaches out to see if I’m available for a last minute appointment. As my clients know, it often works out and I can schedule.

That being said I wanted to take a minute and let you, the general inquirer, know what these terms on this site really mean and how they work from the masseur’s side. I hope you find this helpful!

When I access this site, let say, in the morning or in the evening, it is often to check an email. I get some (not all) notifications sent to my personal email telling me to check my account email on this site. When I am doing that, or while I’m typing this blog. You will see that I am “ONLINE”. And that is just what it means, I’m on this site right now. That doesn’t mean I have immediate available bookings, BUT it also doesn’t mean that I do not. So, always reach out!

When I go on this site and I click on my dashboard of my account, I have a menu that allows me to set AVAILABILITY. Now, this is a TEMPORARY status it creates, and the potential client will see “Available” as a status on the masseurs profile. How do I set that? Well, the drop down gives options. 1 hr, 2 hr, up to 6 hr....

Well, I went down to Key West last weekend for a little getaway. Had a lovely stay at the Equator resort and also was able to see a few new clients while relaxing in the Keys. Thank you all for your understanding of how it can be a little complicated to schedule, I tried to not overextend my time and I apologize if I wasn’t able to see you this time, perhaps another! Since the Keys is a destination location I decided when I got back to get a Covid-19 test. NO SYMPTOMS REQUIRED. Now in Florida there are many drive up locations that you do NOT need an appointment NOR symptoms. I live in Wilton Manors so I just drove to the Mill Pond location, they took my information, swabbed my nasal cavity and I drove away. NO FEE, NO FUSS. I received my results indicating that I am Covid-19 Negative. I plan on continuing to use these testing sites and I encourage others to seek them out. We can beat this if we get ahead of it!

I will be in Key West staying at a clothing optional resort for the first weekend in October. Looking forward to relaxing poolside and getting off the grid for a bit. I wanted to give my local clients a heads up that I will be out of town and also wanted to let anyone traveling to Key West that same weekend that you can reach out and perhaps we can schedule something. I wasn’t trying to book all of my time, the idea was to relax. But meeting new guys is always relaxing! I can not promise that timing will match perfectly, but I wanted to throw that option out there... if I drive down I’ll have my table with me for sure.

Now, here’s the conundrum... I like swimming in the buff and being naked in general... however, I really love tan lines and having a lily white bum. Hmm... thoughts? Maybe SPF on my cheeks? Perhaps this topic need to be taken offline... and have visuals!

Just wanted to give a quick update and a heads up! As most of my clients are aware, I have a full time job that doesn’t always allow me to be as accommodating as I would like in terms of scheduling. This is changing for September as I am leaving one job to start another. The new job completely frees up my weekends as well as all evenings. With it’s flexibility and work from home component, I will also still be able to take care of most morning and afternoon clients throughout the week. I’m really looking forward to my new job as well as this new schedule to see clients. Thank you all for being understanding with scheduling up until now, as you know, I couldn’t always do last minute (sometimes it worked out great) so I’m hoping this new arrangement works great, and some of you that I’ve been playing phone-tag for for months we shall finally meet! Thanks!

Hey guys! I’m in southern Georgia this weekend just to get away. Staying at my friends place. I’m driving back to southern Florida on Monday so I can stop off along the way, reach out and perhaps this can work out! Otherwise, I’m booking for next week.

As some of you may know, I am new to Florida and have been slowly settling in... seems there have been some delays... but I finally finished painting my massage area and it’s now a calm and serene shade of sand. I will be taking a few pictures later on today and adding them to my listing. I apologize for any inconvenience over the last few weeks, but, paint fumes are not relaxing. I was rereading my interview questions and it made me reminisce about my clients up north as I am from Massachusetts. Then I thought of all of the wonderful clients I had out in Northern California when I lived there... and then Palm Springs where I spent a few months. Wow, I’ve met some great people!!
I have been in Florida for such a short time as I make it my home, but I thought it was worth saying that my new clients here have been great! I truly appreciate the feedback and welcoming warmth. And it is true that some clients do not live here full time, but whether it’s a second home or a vacation, those clients have also been exceptional.
Over the past few months, things have been very discouraging in the world of massage and I have missed seeing familiar faces.
For my first summer here in Florida, I just wanted to start by saying Thank You, and I’ll be here when you feel ready.

I have been receiving this question over the last few weeks and I thought it about time I address it.
During this time, I completely understand one’s reluctance in receiving a massage or having physical contact with someone. That being said, it is a choice one must make, and I refer to them as calculated risks. You make a choice to go to the grocery store rather than having delivery. You make a choice to have your hair cut or not. And you make a choice pretty much anytime you leave your home.
That being said, you also have the right to ask behaviors of others... without judgement, as others may be aware of their risks and choose to take them anyway.
In order to be respectful and responsible to my clients, I factor the safety of my clients into my decision making, that is, I do not go to restaurants or bars despite them being open. That is a choice I have made, for now. I limit my trips to stores and get delivery when available. I do not attend private parties and gatherings. I always wear my mask when needed and am diligent about hand-washing and hand sanitizer as often as possible. I am still aware of the dangers, and for me, this is me slowly & safely moving forward.
