Obadiah's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I don't actually remember my first client, I have always wanted to touch people! I remember when I was young I would massage my dad's feet and my mom's shoulders and was that friend you had that was always hugging you or rubbing your back;)
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
If you have it in your heart to bring peace by laying hands on someone, of course, you'll miss it and of course, it's something you're compelled to do. I am currently a student and as my path widens I definitely see massage shrinking more from my life but my innate desire to touch and to bring peace I know will not. I will always be a massage therapist.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. I think that took some years though. I measure my success now by my confidence level and my ability to connect with my clients with ease, I also only post an ad every so often as the majority of my clients are regulars. This is why my ad comes and goes. I really like it that way, having mostly regulars, I like knowing about my clients and being able to share myself as well.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am a full-time student of the arts and am passionate about sculpture, dance, writing, kite flying, roller skating, poetry, and am truly thoughtful and curious about people.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Confident, fulfilled, at peace, I hope my clients leave with an uplifted perception of their lives and themselves. I want to give my clients a lasting natural high to go on.
