Good pec work is an art, and should be a major part of every full-body massage. And here is a tip for the receiver. While your chest is being worked, breath deeply. With each inhale consciously expand your rib cage in all directions; out the front, the sides, and feel the back of your rib cage pressing down into the massage table. This way, while the Bodyworker is stretching your muscles from the outside, you are stretching them from the inside. Understanding how to give and receive good pec work is important, especially at this point in time, when open hearts are needed more than ever. 🔥💙🔥

This is a powerful moment in time we are all sharing. Even though isolation is key to getting through this, we are all going through this together. So pay attention. Take this moment seriously. But don’t let fear guide your behavior or decisions. Reach out to elderly friends, family, and neighbors. Help them get through this by offering to bring them their food or medications. Support local businesses. Send them donations now. They might not be here when this is all over if they are left on their own. They depend on the community to be able to serve the community. Take care of yourself. Go for walks, roll out your Yoga mat at home, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep. When you encounter someone you want to hug. Don’t. And don’t shake hands. But be sure to look each other in the eye. Isolation may help you not catch the virus, but it harms in other ways. Connection comes in many forms and is key for human health, growth, and survival. At this point it certainly seems like we will all be damaged in varying degrees by this moment. But I would rather be damaged together than in isolation. Connection is much more powerful, contagious, and life altering than any virus.✌️

I am hosting my monthly Tantra Edge event this Sunday, 9/1 from 2-5. We begin with a half hour of jockstrap Yoga to warm up and focus. So wear a jock. Then we explore some partner energy work before forming a circle with chairs and taking turns edging the guys in the chairs. We will rotate around the circle so that everyone has the opportunity to work with everyone else. Then the roles are reversed. Tantra Edge is about connecting energetically as well as physically with each other. We also incorporate blindfolds to increase the inner focus and outer sensitivity of the guys being edged. This is a ***ually charged, extremely vitalizing and centering event. It is the perfect way for Bodyworkers to re-charge. To reserve a chair in the circle, contact me. ✌️

One of life’s most difficult challenges is to unconditionally care about others while at the same time not care about what they think of you. I call this practice Empowered Empathy. In this time of great divides, this practice is key for reunification. ✌️💙💪🙏

Here are a few techniques to elevate masturbation to a truly transformative practice:

CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CONDUCIVE FOR FOCUS AND RELAXATION
Just as you would for a traditional meditation practice, set up an area of your house for mindful masturbation. Light candles, burn incense, or build a small altar. Whatever you do, elevate the space.
SET A TIMER
Even 5 minutes of focused edging is better than just getting off. But set your goals a little higher than this. Try for at least 15-20 minutes of focused edging. This will get you into the Cresting Zone.
COMMIT TO YOUR PRACTICE
Commit to at least 3 mindful masturbation sessions per week to begin. Once you start experiencing the many benefits of your practice adding more per week won’t feel like an obligation.
SET AN INTENTION EACH TIME YOU MASTURBATE.
Examples are: “I am fully present to what I am experiencing and feeling in my body.” “I honor all parts of my body shamelessly.” “I celebrate ***ual energy for what it is, sacred and generative.”
The combination of awareness and intention are key.

When we combine mindfulness with pleasure we break through limiting beliefs and find ways of accessing our whole humaness. ✌️💙🙏

Living in the 21st century where so much information is right at our finger tips helps us overcome the restrictive beliefs we have been handed by others, usually as a means to control us and our behavior. Once we understand this we realize we have a choice: we can continue to embody the beliefs we have been given by others, or we can choose to create our own set of beliefs based on our own thoughts and personal experiences.

Masturbation has the potential for being a truly self-transformational act (which is probably a big reason why it has been so demonized). But this potential is only realized when masturbation is performed in combination with self-awareness...basically masturbation as meditation. When we connect pleasure with mindfulness we engage on a level of whole humanness; we sync our body with our mind. In this way, the act of masturbation rises above the level of sickness or sin (as we’ve been lead to believe) and soars to the heights of the sacred.
