PowersofMan's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Dec 07, 2021

1
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- Absolutely. To be successful in any field requires training. It could be in the form of massage school and workshops, or it could be informal through self-study and many years of practice. As a bodyworker you are addressing your client on many different levels; physical, emotional, and spiritual. In order to address each of these areas safely, effectively, and respectfully, a bodyworker needs to put in the time and energy to develop their craft. I teach workshops on how to give a skillful full body Tantric massage for this very reason. More info on this can be found at my website www.powersofman.com and uncensored video demos are available at: *********

2
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- In addition to giving Tantric Bodywork I also teach it. Men fly in from all over the world to attend my workshops. One of the best ways to deeply understand something is to teach it to others. I realize that not everyone has the ability to fly to Seattle for a personal session or to attend a workshop. So to support these men and their desire to understand Tantric Bodywork I started an Onlyfans and a Justforfans in order to share these teachings with whoever wants to learn this ancient art.

3
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- I love to read. I usually lean into non-fiction so I feel like I am always learning new things. But every now and then I love to escape into a piece of well written fiction. Lately I am loving “Song of Achilles.” It’s a beautiful story and very well told.

4
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- In addition to being a Tantric Bodyworker I am also a Yoga and meditation teacher. So I bring these practices of strength, flexibility, and focus into my bodywork sessions. I also share these teachings in video format on my Onlyfans and Justforfans sites.

5
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- Sometimes I travel for work to see private clients. But because my Tantric Bodywork workshops require a room full of massage tables, I mostly teach out of my studio in Seattle. This said, if you have or know someone who has access to 10 massage tables, I’m happy to teach in your city. To balance the fact that my workshops can usually only be offered in Seattle and some guys cannot travel to them, I recently created an Onlyfans that features uncensored images and video demos of many of the teachings and techniques covered in the workshops. To check it out visit my Instagram @powersofman4life and click on the Onlyfans link in the bio.

Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- Making people feel good and helping them become shame free in regard to their body and relationship with creative/sexual energy absolutely is addictive. Nothing feels better then to elevate others.

7
Why did you become a Masseur?

- I was on summer break from college working as a personal trainer, and a massage therapist at the gym I was working at offered me a massage. I had never had one so I figured I’d try it out. She gave me an incredible experience. I remember it was both therapeutic and sensual, and the combination was mind blowing and both relaxing and energizing.
Once I graduated college I became a full time personal trainer while I pursued acting in NYC. After about 5 years my then boyfriend now husband and I relocated to Seattle. Once here I came to find that Seattle was home to one of the best massage schools in the country. So I enrolled. My intention was to supplement my personal training.
Once working as a Bodyworker I quickly realized the uniqueness of this occupation. And the responsibility. And I loved both aspects. So deep thanks to that massage therapist who took a college boy into her massage studio and taught me some very important life lessons.

8
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Get some formal training. Either massage school or workshops. Receive a lot of Bodywork. And pay attention during the sessions. You will learn a great deal from other skilled Bodyworkers. Treat your clients with respect and honor the trust they are placing in you. A man lying naked on your massage table is voluntarily making himself very vulnerable. How you treat this fellow human being can have a deep impact on the rest of their life. Use your power to do good and share brotherhood. ✌️💙🙏

9
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- I do remember him. He was a student at UW. He was very curious about connecting with another guy and chose massage as the way to have this first time experience. I work with a lot of men in this young man’s shoes. And I take this responsibility very seriously. We receive so many messages from society about the taboos of two men connecting. In the long arc of human history, men have been connecting and bonding physically for a very long time. There is great power and life affirming energy in this kind of connection. Men who are curious about this need to be supported, treated respectfully, and celebrated for their courage.

10
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- Better than when they arrived. Whole. Respected. With a wider perspective on what bodywork can be. And with a deeper understanding of what their body can do.

11
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- I have been a bodyworker for 17 years. I received my formal massage training and certification from the Bryan Uting School of Massage back before all the Seattle based massage schools were bought up by a national program. My work has evolved through the years, but the one constant through line, the red thread if you will, has been my belief that bodywork should address everything that makes us human beings. No body part should be ignored or avoided due to the beliefs our society has imposed upon us. We need to move through the world creating our own beliefs based on our own experiences. A simple rule of thumb is to always be curious, and always be respectful.

12
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- I base the answer to this question on the fact that most of my first time clients become regular clients. I feel that men are seeking someone they can trust, someone who is skilled and knowledgable, and someone who treats them with respect.

13
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- I want each man that lies down on my table, whether they are gay, straight, fluid, or still figuring it out, to feel better when they get up from my table. Better because they understand their body more intuitively. Better because they learned the power of mindful breathing. Better because they have broadened their perspective on creative/sexual energy. And better because they allowed themselves to simply receive.
