Rainy's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was an amazing start to my craft, I remember the simplicity in the way my hands moved and I then was reminded what I was gifted in. I enjoy the art of healing. I decided to be a Masseur when I understood the effect massage has to offer, it really does ease your state of mind.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I spend time with loved ones and I like to work out!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a Masseur because I wanted to spend more time with connecting with people I loved. I found out I had a gift for massage and take it pretty seriously nowadays. Thankful for that energy.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Practice with good energy and apply focus towards the craft and perfecting your touch.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am myself. Simply put. There can be no other touch even if I was replaced by a robot. I am independent and I learned this craft through love and later went to school for massage. I was told on my first day of class that I had the gift of touch and that really boosted my ego. I stayed a calm and collected, but strongly-bodied healer to help those who come to me in need of spiritual and/or physical healing. I serve to your sensations and body's vulnerabilities, not a cheap run-down of a massage.. It bothers me to not feel the connection and enjoyment of my client. Honestly, I feel great when I make my client feel good.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want my clients to feel welcomed and encourage the energy they receive during their experience with me. I'd like my client to leave or be left with the warmth I provided them. I know I finished my time with them when they are balanced and able to connect with me freely after the massage. :)
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Not sure.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel a lot.. lately I've been a little bit of both. It's nice to sit in and watch a movie with the roommate. However I'm on my feet most of the day and enjoy putting a little time into travel. I am open to traveling for my massage experience as well, let me know about that if interested!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel renewed, touched in a good way and adored. I find something very soothing about a slow, pure-energy massage. It makes my clients leave comfortably and show appreciation!
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I want to keep massage therapy in my life for a long while.. even as I transition out of college and into my primary focus. (Psychology.) I love massage. It heals me too.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm more open-minded than I appear.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
like any practice
