Rodrigoal's Massage Interview
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want my clients to feel I worked hard for their time and to be feeling that they left with exceptional services from me.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I firmly believe extensive training to be a Masseur is necessary in order the be successful, The more you are open to expanding your skills as a Masseuse, The more I believe you can be a better one.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I try to travel around the year for fun and work, but I do consider myself more of a homebody. Plus I live in South Florida so it feels like I'm traveling all the time
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
So far I've been a Masseur for over 2 years now. I would like to continue for more years to come until I have a change in career paths
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
Every Masseuse has their own style and technique at what makes them successful. No Masseuse is the same, and I am not the same to other Masseurs when it comes to my style of massages. My experience in the nursing field in my opinion helps me have a better understanding of how the body works and what I can and can't do when massaging my clients.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
My predecessor/mentor has given me multiple opportunities to learn from him and how to treat your client. So I would say learn from someone who has experience. Or Start from scratch. There are resources out there to help you get started. You just have to figure out where to start. That would be my advice
Why did you become a Masseur?
I've always had a compassion to find a way to make people feel better, It's how I ended up being in the nursing field and taking care of my patients. I applied those same values and concepts to being a masseur. I want my clients to feel like they're leaving better than they walked in.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to go workout, swimming, traveling and researching videos and topics to have a better understanding in how I can massage clients better.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want my client to feel that I worked hard on them that and they were ensured to a safe discrete private environment.
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was a lawyer and I was very nervous and excited at the same time. But my client was comfortable and very well pleased when I finished with him. I decided to be a masseur when I found interest in massage therapy and when I realized after giving massage sessions for free when I was younger, to go into Massage therapy and fine tune my skills
