RyanLeisure's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love hiking around LA and going to the beach when it's warm enough ha. Playing guitar, playing video games, Netflix binging, and reading. Also traveling! Who wants to pay me to visit them in another city? haha ;)
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember being worried if I was good enough, and if they would enjoy it enough. I've always been concerned about the concerns and feelings of others so I wanted to make sure it was done right. I'm happy to report that my first client was super satisfied and has returned multiple times :D
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Like Maya Angelou said "People will not remember what you say, but they'll remember how you made them feel" And in that regard, yes, I feel i'm very successful. My biggest concern is making sure my clients feel safe, content, and more relaxed. Everyone has felt that was and I have had multiple clients extend our time together mid-massage :)
Why did you become a Masseur?
Well most importantly I wanted a job where 100 percent of my energy exerted in invested in myself, my success, and my career. Working as a masseur has most definitely allowed me that freedom and focus. I also love being of service to others and to see them being positively changed by my work. It is super rewarding !
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
The greatest compliment has been when my clients have to message me after their massage telling me how great they feel. The fact that they had to inform me really shows the impact I have and I am always totally grateful ! Also, my goal is that post massage, my clients feel more calm, less stressed, ease in muscle tension / knots, and an over-all sense of wellness.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I travel as much as my schedule and finances allow haha. For the last two years I haven't taken each June to go traveling. One year I went to Europe. After that I went traveling around the country a bit. The highlight being spending a week in New Orleans and soaking in ever ounce of culture I could get :)
