SebastianWest's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I've always believed that there is something very powerful about touch and was surprised at how many people actually lack that one simple thing in their life. I am very much a fitness and health junkie and have always known how beneficial massage is to a persons overall well being. I was always giving friends and family massages and they always told me how great it felt and I always enjoyed seeing them benefit from me giving them massage.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes very much so. I really do enjoy being a masseur.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. Im very good and constantly striving to be better...
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them feeling refreshed and ready to face the day with a renewed sense of energy and positive focus and less stress.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because I truly believe in the powerful benefits a person will gain by having scheduled massages. They will experience a more balanced lifestyle and calmness to face and deal with life and most importantly just feel good.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I don't typically claim or try to say anything about other masseurs that would imply I think Im better or different. I'm a very kind good nurtured person who treats all clients the same whether they are young, old, skinny, fit or over weight. And its not fake or trying to hard they are able to see that its just who i am. I take care of myself and I'm an attractive intelligent intriguing guy. That clients trust and know that each session with me they are getting the best of the best.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I don't travel as often as i use to. But love visiting new places.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think so. I am constantly learning and discovering new techniques etc .Clients like to feel secure in knowing you know what your doing and that you are knowledgeable and understand the body. For me I don't necessarily think its entirely about technique its simply understanding the art of touch and having a positive energy that the person your connecting with leaves you feeling like they are flying above the clouds and cant wait to book another session. :-)
