Simeon's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I do he was a very stressed out executive with a sports background and injuries.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
For me, it's a passion and a vocation and I would miss massaging if I stopped. Occasionally if I have a long holiday I'll seek out a massage exchange on location.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Well, first I'd like them to feel at ease and welcomed when they arrive. I think it's fundamental to create trust for the massage to work well. When we have finished, the client should feel totally released from stress and have had the sensual treatment they expected, leaving my studio relaxed and totally satisfied with how I worked on their body.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I'd advise finding the technique you feel best suits you and sticking with it as the base on which to mix other techniques as you gain experience. Always ask clients what they want in advance and ask a few times during the session how they are.Be polite and kind and gain the trust of clients.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I suppose my age and experience. But also that I really know the male body and love working on all aspects of it be it for injury or sensual pleasure.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I think so as I have regular clients going back many years and get good referrals.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
My interests are varied. I do martial arts, cycling, cinema, and read a lot
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Over 30 years and I'll continue for many more
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm sensitive to people's needs and tend to take care of them naturally.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I decided to become a masseur while playing rugby and realized there were very few good strong masseurs available and I was curious to get working on the male body too.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I like both in even balance
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
Good training is essential at the start then updating is useful. An untrained masseur can cause damage.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
To have fully enjoyed my treatment and to be happy and satisfied enough to come back.
