SimonSuraci's Personal Masseur Interview
Last Updated: Sep 09, 2023

1
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?

- I aim to exceed client expectations. They should feel the experience was worth their time and money, and feel motivated to return, tip, review, and recommend me to friends. If anything about your experience fell short of your expectations, please tell me directly. I will do my best to make things right.

2
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?

- I travel from time to time offering my services in other cities. I rent AirBnBs in nice neighborhoods with easy parking. On the road I stay very busy, usually booked solid morning to late night. If you see my ad when I am visiting your city, book me early to ensure you get the time you want. I post travel plans weeks in advance.

A great many of my Dallas clients miss me, so I plan to visit for 2-3 weeks at least once a year. Other cities vary, but I go all over the continental US. Here are a few I have done in the past: Oklahoma City, Austin, Houston, Key West, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Louisville, Memphis.

Here are some cities I’m considering visiting on future tours: Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Portland, Eugene, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Boise, Denver, Colorado Springs, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Phoenix, El Paso, Boston, Philadelphia, DC, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte, Nashville, Little Rock.

Let me know if you want me to visit YOUR city. I might just go there!

3
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?

- 7 years. As long as I am physically able and life circumstances allow.

4
Why did you become a Masseur?

- #1 It pays better than architecture
#2 I get to be my own boss
#3 Flexibility, set my own hours
#4 I enjoy problem solving
#5 I like connecting with people
#6 It leverages my intuition
#7 It keeps me active
#8 Making others feel amazing gives me life

5
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?

- Most free time I spend on my farm. Between the house and the land, there’s always a project to do. I like art and museums. The gym keeps me healthy and sane. A cocktail and a movie is how I prefer to end my day.

6
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?

- I'm a licensed architect.
Podcasts are my favorite daily media.
I own a farm with my partner.
The Emperor’s New Groove is my favorite movie.
I love my Jeep Wrangler.

7
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?

- Depth, skill, patience, dedication, and charm.
My clients enjoy the balance between skilled therapeutic techniques and sensuality. It’s usually only one or the other, but I offer the best of both.

8
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?

- When a client is happy and I'm happy, that's success. Almost all appointments work out this way, so on the whole, yes. I’m successful.

9
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?

- It’s not addictive, but I enjoy my work. Every client is unique and people keep it interesting. Some pleasantly surprise me with their kindness, intellect, generosity, and warmth.

10
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!

- My first client brought positive energy, respect and gratitude to the table. My best clients since then have done the same, and it keeps me going. Helping others feel their best makes me feel my best. Since then, I've never looked back.

11
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?

- To a point. The rest is talent, intuition, adaptability, and really caring for your clients.

12
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?

- Valued.

13
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?

- Only do this if you truly love it. There's no other way to be successful.
