SpiritWolfDennis's Massage Interview
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I LOVE MY WORK!!! I get a high from helping people experience and know themselves better from our working together. I love my dogs, my friends, my home, my life, and exploring my potential of my physical, emotional, intellectual, erotic and spiritual bodies. I also love Teaching and have been a teacher since I was 12 yrs old.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I actually always try to have a new masseur beginning their practice that I take under wing and mentor. Massage is an extremely physically, emotionally, and energetically challenging career if you do it at it's highest potential. It is also hugely rewarding. Learn as many techniques that you can, but trust your intuition!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
When my clients leave, I hope (and know from feedback) that they feel centered, cared for, rejuvenated, calm, whole, and maybe they learned or experienced something that they did not know before they arrived.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a caregiver my entire life and for 22 yrs as a masseur. I know so much more that I did when I started at 40 and every moment of the journey has been awesome. I will never stop using my gifts to help others and do not see retirement in my future as I love what I do.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I want my clients to ask for what they need: physically, emotionally, erotically and spiritually. You (the client) and I are working together for your wellness, we are a team. I cannot do what I do with you! I also include my spirituality into each session and want you to do the same. Spirituality has several components including our connection to our Higher Power belief system AND the pure unfiltered authentic self that we have come here to be without the masks that we wear to maneuver through our everyday lives. I want you to remove those masks as you remove your clothing and be your true, natural self as-well-as possibly learning more about who and what that is for you.
