Today, it's in Cancer and that's a highly intelligent sign when it comes to emotions. I am proudly a cancer rising and love to lean into my emotions, even though at times I too can push some away.

There is a reason why EQ exists along side IQ. IQ is of the mind and EQ is of the heart. Without a balance of both, we aren't living to our highest potential. Our society has too long sided and focused on the IQ and the reality is that the times are changing to more of an EQ focus. That doesn't mean it's time to leave the IQ behind, but instead to harmonize them together.

Happy Friday and thank you you for taking the time to read my blog. I trust you had a productive and revealing week, even though your plans may not have turned out how you thought they would.

With the weather getting better on and off, and Spring in motion, I've been slowly getting back into a routine where I'm increasing my movement. I was in major hibernation mode and feeling the resistance to increase my physical movement levels, even though the whole rest of me was desiring to. Whatever my beliefs that were in my way are now gone. I've been going to a park three days a week within my new routine. To get there, I do a walking meditation, which tends to include a few laps around the park. Then I pull an oracle card, connect with a tree and the spirit of Gaia, before practicing some Tai Chi & Qi Gong. That last bit was really a hurdle to overcome. Being someone who taught Tai Chi & Qi Gong, then stopped for a long time - it took deep healing to return. Now I'm so grateful I did because it feels SO much better to move.

Today is almost ironic with it being Mercury in Retrograde and on Mercury day. That's right, the planet Mercury rules over Wednesday and is typically amazing for communication. And yet, when in retrograde it can have quite the impact. Suddenly, communications feel interrupted, highly emotional, and not in alignment. If you're like me, you might even go into periods of being non-verbal. In general, there can be a chaotic and frustrating energy in the air. Have you ever felt that energy around these times? We have 15 days left of this powerful energy, which promotes change and inspires one to keep their mouth shut to listen, instead of speaking out everything that's on their mind. This is a practice and yes, it can in itself be frustrating.

Frustration is a common emotion, especially in a big city, such as this one. Everyone is focused on their journey & the intensity is present as they navigate these moments. In a busy place with a lot of people with their own agendas, there's bound to be miscommunications and misalignments, which often result in that frustration.

How was your Eclipse day and how are you feeling? I actually felt different after the experience. My pendulum confirmed. that there has been a collective shift, which is still happening, even if you don't think you're feeling it. I'm sending love and prayers to all of us choosing to release some HEAVY things and call in what we truly desire.

I actually chose to go by myself to a big park near me and post-up with some crystals to meditate, and experience the big event. I was really excited that we had such a clear view in Brooklyn, as that wasn't what was expected per the weather reports. It was pretty magical, even though we didn't get total darkness. It did get dark for a short while. While I was there. Eventually, @mercuryrising and I met-up for a bit to catch-the tail-end of the experience together.

Right now, we still have a lot of other changes from the astrological perspective because Mercury is in retrograde and Chiron. In other words - hang-on to your hats! It's a transformational ride!

Let’s talk about flow state. You may have heard this concept before. To me, flow state is a state of being, which is temporary to longer periods where you’re consistently calm and focused in a way that’s easy for you. The mind relaxes, the stress melts away, and the peace sinks in. Flow state is something achievable by every single person. FS is magical for creatives, parents, entrepreneurs, healers, and more!

How can you get into flow state?

1. Practices - Meditation, fungi and plant spirits, martial arts, being in nature, and receiving massages are some of my favorite ways to get into this state of being

2. Patience - It does take practice. Especially for people who are new to this, there may be some discomfort in sitting in meditation or getting into a space where thoughts flow freely.

Before we dive into today’s topic a few things for housekeeping.

Okay! So - New Experiences. Most of us want them and that’s why a lot of you, I’ve found, are here. As someone who by simply existing is a new experience for most people, I find there’s so much to this. People want new experiences and then also become nervous, shy, or even scared of what they are looking to experience. For some, this is part of the play and for others, it’s uncomfortable. I do my best to ensure a safe and unconditionally loving space to explore consensually, and safely. There are so many reasons you could be making the requests you do and I don’t judge them. I simply show up to serve.

Today may be a Mars day, however this rain gives this day a twisty vibe. The energies of retrograde are syncing in. It seems everyone is talking about the coming eclipse in a few days.

As we’ve discussed before, being that Mercury is a planet focused on communications, when in retrograde, it can make this challenging. I’m already seeing the results of this in many ways. Some are posts that are taken personally. Some are overthinking what to say because they are afraid upfront of how it would be taken.

While it’s true that these challenges are afoot, does it mean that you ignore and avoid all communications this month? No, of course not. It does mean that you’re encouraged to really think about:

1. Is this the right time to say this?
2. Who am I speaking to and how will this land?
3. What is the point I want to come across?
4. What is the best outcome of this conversation?
5. How do I want to be supported in this communication?
6. How can I speak mindfully right now?

Regardless, assuming will get you into trouble. Often times, the intentions that we have when we say something are pure. Sometimes we share something triggering. Be mindful.

This is definitely a rainy moonday. If you’re in your emotions, then you’re not alone. Not only because you’re human, but because the energies within and around us right now are all of change.

Be mindful of what you say. Listen extra carefully. Take deep breaths and be patient. Don’t make any major decisions that you can wait on. Don’t be afraid to slow down.

Happy Easter to those who are celebrating today! Today reminds me of being a little kid who did Easter Egg hunts with family who celebrated. However, it also reminds me of rebirth and abundance.

This can be an inspiring time. The Spring creates a rejuvenating energy, which may feel overwhelming due to Mercury in Retrograde tomorrow and these eclipses, however you can let that all go. It doesn’t have to be a time where you feel controlled and out of balance. This can be a time of powerful surrender and allowing yourself to rebuild, after your bit of destruction.

So often when we create, we forget that a big part of creation is destruction. Whether you’re talking about Mother Nature, taking a baseball bat to a copy machine, or even eating a chocolate bunny - there’s destruction and creation. Everything has a balance and from creation we can experience a rebirth.

So what do you want to surrender to? What are you going to release? What are you destroying and what are you creating?

As we reflect on these questions, we may find the courage within us to create our own destiny. You are in charge of your life. Create a good one.
