TalkinFingers's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to act, sing and write songs during my spare time. In cases of extreme boredom I play video games!
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I don’t think so because every therapist is different and no on therapist is for every client. However, I take pride in the extensive training I have received. I am certified in sports, reiki, polarity, Qi Gong, Prenatal & meditation!
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people medically but I preferred to be the one people actually wanted to come see, not just because they were hurt. Massage fit perfectly for multiple purposes!
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My massage changes with every service I give. I mold my massage to treat the needs to each client so every massage is different.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been a masseur for 7 years and honestly I really love this field, I don’t foresee myself going anywhere, anytime soon!!
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I actually love to travel, I don’t travel as much as I would like to because most people prefer to travel over hosting!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Don’t do it for the money. The potential to make great money is high but it’s temporary if that’s all your doing it for!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely, the word therapist in massage therapist is so real. We are essentially therapist for people in more ways than one. There is something about when people remove their clothes and get on your table. There is a bond created between the two and I almost feel like I’m receiving treatment with every session I do! I would definitely miss my masseur days if I were to retire!!!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I like for my clients to feel satisfied with my services and rejuvenated. I want them to feel like the service was tailored especially for them and to know they will be satisfied every time they come for a session!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want them to feel like they can come to me with any concerns or questions they may have and know that I will not judge or tell anyone about any discussion we have in confidence.
