TantraLoveAgent's Massage Interview
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I am grateful to be serving men as an encore vocation. In my earlier life I was an IT project guy, married to a woman, raising two wonderful kids, and being a leader in a fairly conservative church. The last decade has been a whirlwind of transformation – coming out, embracing an authentic erotic life, redefining my spirituality. Through the Body Electric School and studying tantra, I have worked to integrate ***uality and spirit in my life, discovering how the wisdom and energy in our bodies can be resources for personal transformation and deep connections with other humans and with the divine. It’s so freeing to discover that I can be not only an intelligent and responsible and kind man, but a ***y one too – and that this combination is good!
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want you to feel loved. That means you have been seen for who you are, welcomed with all your strengths and weaknesses in a way that helps shame release its grip. It means for the period of the session you have been the whole focus of attention, cared for, and supported in what you need. I believe it’s this atmosphere of love that can allow whatever we do together to feel like it has been a real gift to your life.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I have lived most of my life in my head. I behaved as if knowing what’s true and doing the right thing can flow mostly from analysis and willpower. Not only was ***uality locked up in a narrow box, but also the rest of the body’s emotional and energetic resources were unavailable to my practical, moral, and spiritual life. My coming out and tantra journeys have revolutionized how I live and let me be more whole. I want to share that with other men, which is why I trained to be a sacred intimate and a life and tantra coach. Loving touch can be a source of great healing and an engine of expanded spiritual awareness. While I am grateful for those many other masseurs who have the therapeutic expertise to heal the body, I see the role of my own touch and attention as being more focused on the integration of body, soul and spirit.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My unique gift is a special ability to be present with and to hold space for another human to process whatever is important in the moment. Much of my career and relationship success in my prior life came from this gift, although it was expressed mostly verbally. Now that I can include my whole emotional, energetic, and physical body in this process of holding space, the gift is even more powerful.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I would like you to feel that your experience in our session was more than a simple moment of relaxation or pampering or ecstatic pleasure, but actually made a difference as one little piece in your journey of becoming who you want to be. In the spirit of the tantric principle, “everything is an experiment,” I hope you will harvest the data from the experiment which was our session, and use your discoveries to guide you as you keep moving forward.
