Deep Swedish by Thomas
I do Swedish but I'm not a "finger painter". I have a firm but intuitive touch that actually fixes real problems. Your physical and psychological comfort are prioritized throughout the session. Your safeword is "ouch". Very therapeutic from head to toe! Swedish is done on bare skin with oil. I use grapeseed, but if you don't like that I'll use anything you bring with you. A drape can be provided if you are cold or modest, but my room is warm and my table is heated, so you won't be cold.
I guarantee my work two ways. First, you can come see me, experience my touch, ask a few questions, and if anything about the experience is not for you, I would never have you stay or pay. Second, if any part of your body feels like it needs more work within seven days following your appointment, you may come in for a free spot massage on the area(s). I appreciate a second chance to make everything right.
I have a beautiful studio space in a classic older building in a safe neighborhood. It's a bungalow unit with its own garden entrance with shower available.

ALLERGY SUFFERERS: I have a cat. I also have an overpowered HEPA filter running 24/7 and wood and tile floors so mild to moderate sufferers should be fine.

I scheduled my first massage with Thomas, and I will definitely continue to book with Thomas. I went in sore, muscles were tight, my lower back was bothering me. Once Thomas had all the info he needed, he went in to therapeutic mode. Knots, sore and tender muscles were relieved. My lower back was also grateful. Thomas is respectful and friendly. He checked in throughout to ensure pressure was okay. One of the best massage I’ve ever had. It was so good I plan on trying to visit once a week.

I just had the good fortune to get my first massage from Thomas today. He was easy to contact and very responsive. The massage was a super session. I exercise regularly and can get sore but I had fallen and bruised myself as well. Thomas was heaven sent. He spent more tome than I had requested and made sure when he finished , I was completely back to my regular self. He is also very personable and a pleasure to talk to and spend time with. - I like clients to feel healed, even if they only came to relax. I love to hear them say, "I was going to go grocery shopping, but I think I'll go home instead and take a nap." Also, I like clients to feel like they've had a massage! Have you ever had one where a few hours later your body felt just like it did before? You won't get that with me. The best description I ever heard was, "I wake up the next day after one of your massages feeling like I'm about an inch taller."
- No, I don't think extensive training is necessary to give good massage. I've received amature massages that were better than professional ones! I do believe that at least some training is quite important, if only to learn how to preserve your body. But possessing physical empathy is just as important. It's like learning how to play an instrument when you do in fact have an ear for music.
- If I were to leave the profession, I would definitely miss it! A lot. Think about it--some 40-ish guy limps into my studio, moving like a 75 year-old man, pleading, "fix me." I do my thing, and he bounces out at the end like he's 25 again. Literally, I lay my hands on people, and they are healed. I should start a church or something! It's heady stuff! Probably somewhat like what doctors must feel when they fix people.

My base rates are good but M-Th rates are better
If you need bodywork on a budget, I'm the guy for you. My base rates are just 60/$90, 90/$130 and 120/$170, but EVERY Monday through Thursday (including holidays!) I take an additional 10% off. Those discounted rates are only 60/$81, 90/$117 and 120/$153.
Brand new to the LA/West Hollywood area!
And I'll be taking 50% off my rates through the end of 2023 to build clientele. Prices will be 60/$110, 90/$155 and 120/$200 in 2024 so right now they're only $55, $77 and $100. Come see me while I'm cheap! I have every confidence you'll keep seeing me at twice the price, because with 17 years of experience under my belt, I'm worth it three times over, LOL!
