ThompsonMasseur's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to workout, play video games, play guitar and hang out with friends. I have a very full life that I’m very proud of.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love traveling! I just recently went over seas for the first time, and definitely caught the bug. My goal is to plan two overseas trips a year!
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was so nervous when I had my first client. I was brand new to massage and didn’t know what to expect- I just wanted to do a good job! But when I relaxed into it and focused on the connection between my client and myself, it all came really natural. I left feeling like this was something I could do and enjoy, and my client left satisfied as well.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I’m incredibly friendly! I know it’s not normal to talk during a massage- but some of my favorite times have been when my clients strike up a conversation during it. It really connects you on a deeper level- and I thrive on connection!
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want all my clients to not just feel more relaxed, but also more alive- I think when you are sharing such an intimate experience as massage with someone, it kind of wakes you up from your average day to day slog. Being able to connect with someone so intimately should reawaken a spark and make you more aware of everything around you. I know that sounds cheesy- but what the heck.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I do. I felt like a successful masseur after my very first massage, when my client told me how great he felt- being able to help someone else out by having such an intimate experience with them is truly incredible. That’s success to me.
