TopBuckheadCMT's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember being nervous, wondering if I would remember all that I had learned in school. But then I realized that my client would not be able to relax if I couldn't. So I let go and trusted my instincts. His sighs of gratitude confirmed my intuition.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Would I miss? Why would I have to stop?
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
If successful means people come back for more and stay loyal clients, yes! If successful means I charge a reasonable rate that honors my work, then yes!
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I have an intellectual side, and can make very interesting conversation, but I also know how important it is for clients to have quiet time given the intense stimulation outside of a massage session in modern life.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Like it was their birthday and someone treated them like a special, cared for person who deserves to feel good, and to experience deep pleasure.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I like the challenge of cooking healthy, but very tasty food. Love to read. Love to meditate and to work out! Daily laughter is crucial. Take very good care of mind, body and spirit. I give so much in my work, it is very important for me to recharge.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Because I knew that I could make people feel better with my hands and my intentions.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
Don't do it unless you really like people and want to make the world a kinder, happier place.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
There are many good masseurs and many bad ones. Like the other good ones, I truly am proud of what I do and want to make each client feel like a very deserving person.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
Since 1998, I would like to continue to do this at least part time the rest of my life. Why not? It is one of my major talents.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I usually do outcalls only in the Atlanta area, but am open to travel given the right compensation.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
No. But of course, training can't hurt. Still, nothing matters more than heart and intention.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Deeply satisfied in mind, body and spirit
