TouchByJosh's Massage Interview
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I have a handful of hobbies! I love playing and writing music, and staying active by playing tennis, doing yoga, and most recently axe throwing.
Why did you become a Masseur?
Before becoming a therapist I worked as a ***ual health counselor for gay, queer, and curious men, and it was incredibly rewarding to get to know each client and figure out a plan to keep them healthy. As a massage therapist, I love getting to know each of my clients on a deeply intimate level to provide a unique massage experience that will provide everything they've dreamed of—and more.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
Above all, I want my clients to leave feeling relaxed, satisfied, and ready to tackle the rest of their day. I also love when a client leaves feeling like they have made a new friend who they can return to whenever they need assistance achieving a deep state of relaxation.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
As a queer man, I know firsthand how rewarding it can be to experience the healing and intentional touch of another man, and I hope that I can provide that same experience for all of my clients.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I think what sets me apart is my deep empathy for each person that I encounter, and my deep understanding of how the mind and body are inextricably connected. I employ a holistic approach to massage in which I get to know my client on a personal, emotional, and sometimes even a spiritual level to provide a massage experience tailored to their specific needs.
