Don't you hate it when you're on the table with a new massage guy and during the entire massage it feels like he's only putting suntan lotion on you? Me too! I was a massage enthusiast long before it became a career. And, even while I was in massage school, I traveled thousands of miles to attend workshops by the massage gurus we studied in school so I could deliver a variety of pressure to my clients.
I am formally trained in deep tissue and Swedish massage.
My massage sessions are very unconventional for a lot of reasons. I use myoskeletal techniques so I can get to the muscles more effectively or stretch you in a way that doesn’t cause your face to grimace. I’ve had clients raise an eyebrow at some of my techniques until they feel me addressing the hidden stress they didn’t know existed.
My sessions are built on a strong framework that addresses stress or limited mobility.I incorporate a wide range of pressure, some trigger points, and stretching. You lie on a massage table while my hands work along your body with heated coconut oil. I also incorporates SENSUAL elements during some of the sessions.

I chose the Wally Special massage session. It was incredible. As he states in his description of the session, he uses unconventional methods in stretching and massaging your body. I have never been stretched in the way he does it, but it works well! The time goes by quickly as he moves over every part of your body. It's definitely a session you should try if you can. Wally is a very kind giving man that communicates easily. Very easy to setup an appointment too!
We met, we hugged, pressed our bodies together as he used deep massage to work my traps, lats and shoulders. He moved on to other areas using full body contact, which, given his lean and very hairy body, was a special pleasure in itself. Using full body contact and pressure, he massaged my neck chest, arms, legs back, glutes, then stretched me in ways I thought were impossible!. So much full body contact I feel like I know him intimately and am looking forward to having him repeat the experience again…and again…
Just had my first, not my last, Wally Special. It was amazing from start to finish. He really does use his entire body to relax you. Well definitely book again when he's back in town

- I've been able to pay my bills and save some money. I also get to be my own boss, eat what I want on the road, and meet some amazing men. I've done this work for fifteen years. So, yes, I'd say that my massage style (the way I treat clients, the way I conduct the session) makes me successful on the road. Clients line up for me when I'm on the road.
- I'm a total homebody but I have to travel to make a living. Usually, when I go to a city for massage, I will usually fill all four massage slots for the day. But I love coming home.
- I have met massage guys who were ****ing amazing at massage but who never went to school. My only caution about doing massage without having gone to school is that you can hurt your client without knowing it. And, you can do it quite easily. For example, there are parts of the body to which you should never apply any significant pressure. The back of the knees, the folds of the arms, and the nerve plexus in the neck should only receive a very gentle glide. You can also crack a rib if you apply too much pressure on the front side or on the backside.

The Unnamed Path
I don't know how we got on the subject. But during the massage, Steven mentioned that he was now a novitiate for the Unnamed Path, a spiritual path specifically designed for gay men.
The Path incorporates many aspects of spirituality including Shamanism, achieving your goals by creating magic, talking to the ancestors, spirit guides, shame and ***, morality vs ethics, meditation, and so much more.
I find myself on a ten-hour drive from Houston to Memphis and I can't stop listening to this podcast. There are seventy-two podcasts. I'm on number eleven. I'm hooked. I feel like I know the author of this podcast, he's very personable, articulate and real.
My soul resonates with his theology and I already know I'm a follower of the Unnamed Path.
Unexpected Pivot
It had been a slow decline in client response from my San Antonio client-base over the last year. I'm not seeing client reservations decline in other cities. But, in San Antonio, my client reservations for a four-day stay had steadily decreased from five clients a day down to .75/day. Eventually, the moment came for me to pack my SUV and drive to San Antonio. My gut screamed that I shouldn't go and I listened. I called the three clients and canceled.
Sometimes I have to pivot when obstacles like weather, illness, family emergencies or lack of interest present themselves. And, that pivot has usually worked out on my behalf. This time I pivoted to work in my own city, Houston. This pivot meant that I would, for the second time, list my massage ads in the Houston area. The first time I listed my ads, I got very little response. However, this time, my efforts proved very fruitful. I was able to make enough to pay off the balances of my credit cards as well as pay monthly rent. I was completely surprised. I built my Houston base up from 37 to 54.
I shared the canceled trip to SA story with another friend in the industry and his experience was identical to mine. What a relief to hear.
