I don't know how we got on the subject. But during the massage, Steven mentioned that he was now a novitiate for the Unnamed Path, a spiritual path specifically designed for gay men.

The Path incorporates many aspects of spirituality including Shamanism, achieving your goals by creating magic, talking to the ancestors, spirit guides, shame and sex, morality vs ethics, meditation, and so much more.

I find myself on a ten-hour drive from Houston to Memphis and I can't stop listening to this podcast. There are seventy-two podcasts. I'm on number eleven. I'm hooked. I feel like I know the author of this podcast, he's very personable, articulate and real.

My soul resonates with his theology and I already know I'm a follower of the Unnamed Path.

It had been a slow decline in client response from my San Antonio client-base over the last year. I'm not seeing client reservations decline in other cities. But, in San Antonio, my client reservations for a four-day stay had steadily decreased from five clients a day down to .75/day. Eventually, the moment came for me to pack my SUV and drive to San Antonio. My gut screamed that I shouldn't go and I listened. I called the three clients and canceled.

Sometimes I have to pivot when obstacles like weather, illness, family emergencies or lack of interest present themselves. And, that pivot has usually worked out on my behalf. This time I pivoted to work in my own city, Houston. This pivot meant that I would, for the second time, list my massage ads in the Houston area. The first time I listed my ads, I got very little response. However, this time, my efforts proved very fruitful. I was able to make enough to pay off the balances of my credit cards as well as pay monthly rent. I was completely surprised. I built my Houston base up from 37 to 54.

I shared the canceled trip to SA story with another friend in the industry and his experience was identical to mine. What a relief to hear.
