Wilker's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I remember that I was a bit nervous, I wanted everything to happen in the best way, I remember every detail, even the smell of that oil that I rubbed for that tired and generous moment, it was a beautiful experience since that day I could understand that connections do not arise because we want them to or we plan, they arise because everything has an energy balance, I understood that these encounters are without a doubt something more than a massage
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Surely yes, I believe that as long as I am human and can touch or feel I will do it, it is impossible for me to stop touching something and if it is about people, it is much more my addiction
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I consider myself an apprentice willing to defy the challenges that my path brings me, I consider that no one can escape the circumstances of life, what I know until today I have learned because I have put all my time and effort into it, I consider That I am a Masseur to the point of assuring that today I do better than yesterday, humble, willing to take advantage of the teachings that I have not yet learned and grateful for each meeting I had and that I plan to have with you the reason for this interview
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I do not want to change the time or the connections of the past, I consider that what has happened has had to happen and what has happened or everything that has happened depends on a balance where we are all involved that although it is true we are nothing before the immensity of this universe, I could wish to ask God or cosmic intelligence to take me back to our creation to see how the first sip of oxygen or the first drop of human sweat was created, the effort of an entire generation to come, our race is without a doubt Some perfection of life before seen
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Better than when they arrive of course! Seriously speaking though, yes massage is important to relax and ease any muscular tension, but it’s many more things, like helping blood circulation, stimulating organs, aligning energy points of the body, uplifting your mood, and if not simply a personal intimate moment to reflect and meditate on oneself. Look inwards. Visualize. Just be. That concept is wonderful.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my free time I dedicate myself to studying, I go to school every day, I also practice swimming in conventional pools and other times I like to do it in the sea, without any clothing on my body remembering how I came into the world being free in the water
Why did you become a Masseur?
I can’t say that I became one, simply because I feel like I’ve always been one. As I said, from a very young age.. I’ve been passionate about it. Also very keen on human contact and touch. There is something about the skin and the mass of muscles that I find to my liking, and of course the whole healing and nurturing aspect of being a masseuse that I find very fulfilling. And there is and always has been a certain mysterious ***iness about masseurs don’t you think? So I guess there’s that too lol
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
always try and do it make sure you have some nerves it is always what ensures that the session takes place and ends up always demanding quality and first attention to our reason for being and being: You
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I believe that we all have something that differentiates us so much, I ate my colleagues, we perhaps share some attributes but it makes me different from the rest knowing how to recognize that spark, that drop of intuition that tells you what you must do to feel unique and not overwhelmed as if your flight let the wind take and not you who are or am the owner of my body and life.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been there for about 2 years, but besides doing it without any obligation, it's something that I like. I could say a couple more years or maybe more, I don't know; I just hope I like it today more than yesterday
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I really like to make new connections although I'm shy it's just a matter of energy and the moment; But I am from home and I also like to travel.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I consider that if it has to be; remember that your requirement will be the level of professionalism that you give to others and therefore your work will be reflected in it.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I would like them to be happier and with the full security that they will return to another meeting
