brendonknox's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
My first client was actually one of my classmates, who I took a Thai massage class with. His back was hurting, and it's hard to massage your own back so!
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
I guess in ways I would; as I'm a people person-so I will always have to work in a field where I have contact with people.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I'm just starting, so no...
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
I'm a level headed, well traveled, educated person. I major in psychology and English-although I speak Hungarian as a first language. And I'm not a smoker, or drink, or drug user.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
Satisfied....
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I adore hiking and cooking-I'm no Ramsey, but damn I can cook from scratch!
Why did you become a Masseur?
Well, I've thought about in the past a lot; and just wondering if it'll fit for me. So I'm giving it a go; if I like this basic start that I always go all the way-ideally with a full license for registered theraputic massage. Gotta think of the future right!
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
I have non-I'm just starting out.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
My great smile. :) I don't know really, I'm too new this massage.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I just started...
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I adore travel. I go on at least one long distance vacation every year, and a few local vacations throughout the year.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I guess it depends on the type of massage... But yeah to a point.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I like them to think that they were comfortable, that they felt they were in control and could trust me.
