loveispresence's Personal Masseur InterviewLast Updated: Mar 20, 2023
- Yes,
I was extremely nervous
Fresh out of massage School
, really wanted to do a good job, Used
Every move I learned and gave him extra time. The client was very pleased , became my regular for many years , until
I moved from New York
- Yes I do !
Because many of my clients were able to prevent and sometimes reverse certain conditions, that otherwise would have resulted in invasive medical procedures. Because hundreds of clients left reenergized , rejuvenated and full of hope.
- What is success to you? If it means "how much money you can make", then-NO. What you need is to be young, look hot and be as permissive as you can. But that't not my path.
My definition of success is 'quality of how many lives have I changed?'(physically, emotionally and in every other way). And to be able to do it at that level , it takes a proper massage school, coaching training (because your body and spirit are inseparable), years of healer's workshops, ;earning various modalities, and first and fore most - deep self awareness.
- I equally enjoy homesteading and traveling.
I run my own , sustainable homestead with HOSTING OPTIONS (ask 917-913-4323). I love splitting wood and conducting my massage sessions next to the fire place. I lead a vegan lifestyle and during summer months I produce most of my own food. I live in a city with an incredible ,soul-centered , artistic and methaphisical community and enjoy tribal gatherings and spiritual workshops.
Travel, is a whole different ecstatic celebration of cultures, smells, tastes , variety of perspectives. I speak 4 languages and prefer to stay in authentic local neighborhoods and experience those cultures from the inside.
- DONT!
Unless,
1)being a healer is a strong, genuine desire that vibrates in every cell and every fiber of your being. Passion is a must.
2)You are committed to y our own physical and emotional health (because only then you are able to share that with your clients) you are the only tool you have !
3)You are genuinely committed to your client's well being.
4) You genuinely love and care about people.
- I didn't become masseur - masseur became me ! :-)
Or shell I say more accurately - a healer. My modalities start with massage techniques, but they extend far beyond! Big part of the results are also gained through energy work, embodied, somatic processing and deep aware presence.
- I would like them to leave with a sense of empowerment! I would like them to (not just believe, but) gain a sense of deep, confident knowing , that their life , their health, their prosperity, their love life, their inner peace and pleasure are entirely in their hands. I would like them to leave with a deep, solid sense of hope, and trust for life!
- I know that the way this question is phrased is most likely a figure of speech, but if I had seriously realized that being masseur is "addictive", I'm would have treated it like any other addictive behavior , starting by looking into unmet emotional needs , that this addiction is serving as a substitute for, any unprocessed emotional trauma , that might have caused that addictive behavior. Love and respect myself and prioritize self care and responsibility and that is why I am able to hold my client's hand through that process!
