Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
I was very nervous meeting my first client and I’ll admit I promised more than I could do at the time. Thankfully since then I have become a lot more confident In what I do every clients is left happy at the end of our session.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Yes, I think I would.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
Yes.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Outside of this work, I am an illustrator and writer, working on my own graphic novel and written novel series.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I’d like my clients to leave feeling satisfied and happy, with a natural euphoric, non-chemical high.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to play sports like Oztag and jog. I’m an avid watcher of rugby league and unapologetic Canberra Raiders fan.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I decided to take on being a masseur as a way to support myself as I work on my creative career as a writer and illustrator. I figured this might be a good way to earn a living and continue to pursue my dream.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
I am very genuine, kind hearted and a nice guy. I enjoy getting to know my clients and build a rapport with them, not treating them as just a number.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
As this is a hard industry to be consistently busy and successful in, have a plan B or other work.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I have been doing this work for the last two years and have no intention of stopping any time soon. Until I’m successful with my illustration and can take that on as full time paid work, I am quite content in doing this for the time being.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I love to travel, however don’t get to get out very often. I’d love to visit other countries and even other parts of this beautiful country Australia.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
I think it depends on the type of massage required, however, I believe the main way to success is to treat all clients with respect and kindness.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
As I said earlier, I like all clients to leave happy and satisfied.
