SantiD's Massage Interview
Do you remember your first client ? Tell us something about that first day when you decided to be a Masseur!
Oh, I remember my first client like it was yesterday. It was a thrilling experience, to say the least. I was a bit nervous at first, but as soon as I got my hands on them, I knew I was in my element. Seeing their body relax under my touch was a total turn-on for me. It was like a rush of electricity ran through my veins, and I knew then and there that I was destined to be a masseur. Since that day, I've been fully devoted to honing my craft and perfecting the art of touch.
Some people say that being a Masseur is addictive. Would you miss your Masseur days ?
Absolutely. Being a masseur is like no other job out there. It's a profession that requires not just technical skill, but also intuition, empathy, and a deep understanding of the human body. When you're able to help someone feel better and more relaxed through your touch, it's an incredibly rewarding feeling. There's no denying that being a masseur is addictive in the sense that it's so fulfilling and satisfying. Even if I were to move on to other things in the future, I know I'll always miss my masseur days and the unique connection that comes with this profession.
Do you consider yourself a successful Masseur?
I believe I am a successful masseur, but I'm always striving to improve and learn more. Success, to me, is not just about having a steady stream of clients or earning a good income. It's also about the satisfaction of knowing that I'm helping people feel better in their own bodies. I take pride in my ability to customize each massage to the client's needs and preferences, and to make them feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence. So, while I believe I am successful as a masseur, I never want to become complacent and always want to keep growing and improving.
Tell us a little about yourself, if you were to pick something what would you like your clients to absolutely know about you?
Well, apart from being a passionate and dedicated masseur, I'm also someone who values connection and authenticity. I believe that a massage is not just about the physical touch, but also about the energy and vibe that the masseur brings to the session. So, what I'd like my clients to know about me is that I genuinely care about their wellbeing and comfort. I want them to feel at ease with me and to trust that I'll do everything in my power to provide them with the best possible massage experience. Ultimately, I want my clients to feel like they've connected with me on a deeper level, and that they can always count on me to provide them with a safe and supportive space to relax and unwind.
How would you like someone that contacts you for a massage to feel when they leave?
I want my clients to leave my massage feeling like they're floating on a cloud. Completely relaxed, re-energized, and at peace in their body and mind. I want them to feel like they've experienced true intimacy and connection through my touch.
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy staying active and exploring the outdoors. I love hiking, running, and playing soccer with friends. I also enjoy reading and learning new things, particularly about anatomy and the human body. Additionally, I like to meditate and practice yoga to keep myself grounded and centered. And of course, I always make time to work on perfecting my massage techniques and learning new ones.
Why did you become a Masseur?
I became a masseur because I've always been fascinated by the power of touch and the ability to help people feel better in their own bodies. I believe that touch is one of the most fundamental forms of human connection, and that the right touch can have a profound impact on a person's physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. As someone who values connection and intimacy, I saw becoming a masseur as a natural extension of my desire to help others and provide them with a sense of comfort and care. Additionally, I've always been drawn to the human body and the way it functions, so becoming a masseur was a way for me to deepen my understanding of anatomy and physiology while also pursuing a career that felt truly meaningful and fulfilling.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a Masseur?
As a masseur, my advice for creating a sensual and relaxing massage experience would be to focus on creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for your client. Use warm lighting, calming music, and soothing scents to help set the mood. Start with gentle and flowing strokes to help your client relax and get into a state of deep relaxation. Pay close attention to their breathing and adjust your touch accordingly. Use your intuition and creativity to incorporate different techniques and modalities to tailor the massage to your client's specific needs and desires. Most importantly, remember to be present with your client and create a safe and nurturing space for them to let go of any tension or stress and connect with their body and spirit.
What distinguishes you from all the other Masseurs?
What sets me apart from other masseurs is my ability to connect with my clients on a deep level and provide them with a truly personalized massage experience. I approach each client with a sense of empathy, compassion, and intuition, and I take the time to listen to their needs and desires. I have a keen sense of touch and a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, which allows me to provide an effective and therapeutic massage. I'm also highly trained in a variety of massage techniques and modalities, which allows me to tailor each session to the specific needs of my clients. But perhaps most importantly, I strive to create a safe, nurturing, and respectful space for my clients to relax and feel fully present in their bodies. I believe that massage is a deeply intimate and transformative experience, and I'm honored to be able to share that experience with my clients in a way that's both professional and compassionate.
How long have you been a Masseur and how long do think you'd like to continue?
I've been a masseur for about 3 years now, and I plan on continuing for the foreseeable future. I feel that being a masseur is not just a job, but a calling, and it's something that brings me a great deal of joy and fulfillment. Every day, I'm reminded of the profound impact that touch can have on a person's wellbeing, and it's a privilege to be able to facilitate that kind of healing and transformation in others. I also see massage as a lifelong learning process, and I'm always looking for ways to deepen my knowledge and hone my skills. Whether it's through continuing education or simply working with new clients, I know that there will always be opportunities for growth and discovery in this profession. So to answer your question, I plan on being a masseur for as long as I'm able to do so with passion and integrity.
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
I absolutely love to travel for clients and host them in my home as well! There's something very exciting and invigorating about exploring new places and meeting new people, and I think that providing massage services in different locations can add an extra layer of intimacy and connection to the experience. At the same time, I also appreciate the comfort and familiarity of my own home, and I think that being able to host clients in a welcoming and nurturing space can be a powerful way to deepen the therapeutic benefits of massage. Whether I'm on the road or at home, my ultimate goal is always to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients to relax, let go of their worries, and fully connect with their bodies and spirits. So whether I'm traveling or staying put, my passion for massage remains the same, and I'm always eager to explore new ways to enhance the massage experience for my clients.
Is extensive training necessary for a Masseur in order to be successful?
While I believe that some level of training and education is important for a masseur, I also think that there's a lot to be said for the power of intuitive touch. In my experience, the best masseurs are those who have a natural gift for sensing and responding to their clients' needs, and who can use their intuition to guide their movements and techniques. Of course, this doesn't mean that training and education aren't valuable - they absolutely are, and they can help a masseur hone their skills and develop a deeper understanding of the body and its functions. However, I think it's important to remember that massage is as much an art as it is a science, and that the most successful masseurs are those who are able to balance their technical knowledge with their innate sense of touch and intuition.
How do you like clients to feel about the experience when they leave?
I want them to feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and deeply connected to their body and spirit. My goal is to create a space that is warm, inviting, and nurturing, and to provide a massage experience that is tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. I want my clients to feel like they've been truly seen and heard, and that their concerns and desires have been fully addressed during their session. Most importantly, I want them to feel empowered to continue caring for their body and mind long after they've left my studio. Whether they've come to me seeking relief from physical pain or emotional stress, my hope is that they leave feeling a renewed sense of vitality and wellbeing, and that they're inspired to live their life to the fullest.
