I look forward to every new year. Even though it's an arbitrary thing to mark the change at this particular time of year, it feels right to begin the year as we begin to see more daylight. I just wish that for the sake of our dogs and people living with certain traumas that we weren't so dependent on fireworks in our celebration.
One of the joys of this time of year is the opportunity for us to come together. Parties, and community events can be a lot of fun. But even more satisfying are the intimate moments spent one on one. There's something very special about being able to share touch and gaze with someone, perhaps a special someone.

One of my favorite things to offer is the early morning session. There are a lot of guys who like to start their day early. For some, it's driven by work schedules. For others it's their personal circumstances, often a partner or spouse who wouldn't approve. And there are some people (myself included) who are at their best early in the day.
In years past I was very much the night owl. I watched many a sunrise before I went to bed. I enjoyed it and I don't regret it. But as I've matured, I've become much more mindful of sleep hygiene. A good night's sleep is a reset for just about every system. Improving my sleep habits started with a consistent bedtime. Most nights I'm asleep by 11 pm.
This has me hitting the boards by 5:30-6:00 am most days. It gives me the luxury of easing into the day.
Early mornings see me at my best. I'm refreshed, optimistic, and my energy level is high. This is why, with a little advanced notice, I often see clients between 6 am and 9 am. Truth is that most masseurs do this because it's a great way to earn a living. If you're good, you develop a following and a reputation. Many of us also are genuinely energized and turned on by touching men. But some of us want to do this, while others have to do it. I'm grateful that I do it for the enjoyment and I work only when I want to. The money is nice, but it's not my primary motivator. I have other ways that I pay my bills.
Every now and then I get a call or text from a guy who is drunk or high. This can ruin the experience for me and drain my good energy. It even carries into the next day. Often these requests come in late at night. Late calls are a red flag. Unless I know you from a prior session, it's rare that I'll take a client after 8pm.
Sometimes I'll get a call from a blocked number. I usually don't answer. But on those rare occasions when I do take the call, I won't book unless he calls back on a visible number. This is for safety. While it may not be 100%, it gives me a record. If I'm going to give you my complete attention and effort, at least be honest about who you are.
Most guys are great and I'm glad we've met. But I always protect myself.

The more I share massage, I've begun to explore the idea of sacred intimate.

But I'll often acknowledge that back in the days when I had a head of hair, I'd go and get a shampoo and cut and do it virtually in silence. There is something therapeutic about just dropping in and luxuriating in the sensations and experience of being worked on. The silence can be release It's meditative, and relaxing, as if something has been lifted.

If we're able to ride the wave up and down without releasing too soon, we have the opportunity to stay in this higher state. Ultimately this carries beyond the physical body and into our mental and spiritual planes.
